We moved away from the Ancaster area a few year ago now. Many times weâve tried different Indian restaurants only to find out very quickly that India village is by far the best!Always fresh Generous portions Amazingly flavourful and spiced right!Janice (the owner I believe)is wonderful too!Always remembers me with a smile! With my tail between my legs Iâll tell her when Iâve tried another place only to tell her that India village canât be beat!Well worth the 2 hour round trip now to enjoy this gem!

Full service Indian restaurant serving authentic dishes. Vegan and Gluten free options. Catering services also available.
We are frequent diners at this excellent Indian restaurant. Over our visits, we have tried several appetizers and entrees. All have been delicious, especially the Chicken Tikka and the Biryana Rice dishes. The Indian beer offering pairs quite well with the cuisine and spices used. You will not be disappointed and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

My husband and I checked out this restaurant tonight for the first time. We were definitely impressed by the delcious food! We were starving when we arrived so we quickly ordered onion bhaji for an appetizer. It was very flavourful! Then we ordered lamb korma, butter chicken, basmati rice and garlic naan. All of it was so, so good!!! I loved that the waitress asked how spicy we would like our main dishes-- a lot of places don't bother to ask that and I got the butter chicken medium spicy and it was perfect! Some places I've tried have let me down with the butter chicken being too sweet but this one was not sweet and instead you could taste all of the declious spices! I loved the bit of kick that it had. Oh and the atmoshpere and decor was a lot more pleasing to the eye than a lot of Indian places are! Great spot for a date night! The waitress was okay, she seemed a bit off, but we all have those types of days don't we?! We met the owner at the end of our meal and she was a lovely woman. We will definitely be back!!!

We took our youngest daughter here who lives in Brampton and knows many Indian restaurants and food. She said this place had the best naan bread and Palau pander. She also said the spices and sauces were delicious on the lamb and chicken tikka masala dishes. We ordered the meat dinner for 3 lots of delicious food with gulab jamun included for dessert. Excellent end to a wonderful meal. We hope to return with more family members.
