In the advice of a friend we came here, great menu with some dishes Iâve not heard of before. Whilst talking to all 5 of us the waiter assessed our curry preferences and suggested dishes accordingly. None of us were disappointed, it even impressed me! It was a friends birthday so the Happy Birthday serenade was spot on! Thanks guys!

We had a nice meal here, good value and pleasant atmosphere. Food was very nice mostly, dishes were quite generous portions and very tasty, but one dish was very oily - when we commented on this, it was suggested we could have asked for it with less oil - but how were we supposed to know it was oily before it arrived? It wasn't mentioned in the description! Overall, a good meal and we will be visiting again.

We had a business meeting and went here because it was near our hotel. Dreadfully slow service. Undercooked food and curt attitude from the manager and staff. The worst restaurant in town. I am very sorry that your visit to our restaurant was so disappointing. I understand that it was unusually busy last night and that food was delayed, I can only apologise for your experience.As you can see from our reviews most visitors report a high standard of service and food, it is unusual for any of our visitors to have a poor experience.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant as friends had recommended it. The restaurant setting is very relaxing, not rushed and staff were polite. Food was superb. Very fresh, flavorsome and beautifully served. I can quite honestly say that this was the best curry we have had in a very long time. Reasonably priced, only gripe for my husband would be that they had no beer on draught, so he had a bottle of kingfisher instead. We had, shaslick chicken, chicken dopiaza, plain rice, cauliflower bahjee and a Keema nan. We will definitely be returning, if youâre thinking of trying this restaurant, itâs a must!

We've been using the Mumtaz Mahal since we moved nearby 18 years ago. We are a family of cooks and really appreciate chef and owner Ali's efforts to provide excellent and authentic product. His Vindaloo while spicy is also much better flavoured than the usual 'curry and a lager ' fare. Always a consistently and reliably high standard.

The Spice Cottage is fantastic. My husband and I have travelled all over the world and we are very fussy about our food. This curry house is spot -on. We have consistently had lovely food from here. I can honestly say I have never eaten a bad take-away from here. The staff are always lovely and nothing is too much for them. However, it wouldn't eat there - as the takeaway decor leaves a lot to be desired.

We arrived on time to find they hadn't written down our booking. Having got us seated the staff were friendly, efficient and the food was quicker than usual. It is obvious tyextaje away service is also popular as the queue was long and there was a constant stream of take out bags from the kitchen. We had ordered more drinks after the main course when we were asked to move tables. This made no sense as there were other tables free. We moved were not offered desserts, sat in a cramped area and it became clear they didn't want us to stay. The food us superb but they either need to find bigger premises or decide on how many they can cope with inc take aways of an evening or they will lose customers. We left feeling we had been rushed only to bump straight into another party who had been treated the same.Good Afternoon, I am very sorry to hear about your experience when dining in with us at Jumeira. We was very busy the evening you dined in with us and we are very sorry for the way you felt you was being treated and felt as if you was in a rush. I assure you this will not happen again as the reason for the change of table was because we had a large table booked in for that specific table. We don't go out much but after a long weekend moving we booked to eat here and thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Great place, food and staff and reasonably priced. Will go back for sure.

We had been fishing in the area and was looking for somewhere local to eat on the way home.Thankfully they were able to squeeze 7 of us for the Sunday Banquet on Fathers day.Food was absolutley amazing, and such great value, the waiting staff were really friendly and welcoming.
