My wife and I decided to try this restaurant for lunch and were not disappointed. We both got the buffet which included a drink for $12. The buffet was a combination of Mediterranean and Indian food. The buffet wasn't huge, but the food was very good and fresh. We both commented that the stuffed grape leaves was some of the best we've had.

Another good recommendation from a friend, we tried out this Indian restaurant with a large dinner with several friends, trying a good cross-section of the menu. They had an extremely varied menu, far more than we expected â beyond the regular Indian standards, they had more exotic offerings, such as goat curry and uncommon variations on themes, including a variety of paneer-based dishes and many flavors of naan.To start, we ordered the sampler plates, the Royal Platter and Veggie Platter to share across our table of 6. The Paneer Pakora from the Veggie Platter was flatly amazing, though nothing else slouched. For main dishes, we got the Keema Mushroom and Paneer Jalfrezi (which caught our eye from above). Our whole table did have an issue with spice â dishes ordered mild arrived very spicy, ones ordered spicy arrived mild (3 were wrong out of 4 we checked), but that issue aside, the food was very good. The jalfrezi was delightfully vegetable-heavy and exceptionally well-flavored, with the very good naan providing an excellent sop to sauce and spice.Menu prices are a bit on the expensive side, but not crazy. The staff handled a split check quite nicely (recognizing couples without asking), but be aware of the 18% auto-gratuity with 6 or more. This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants in the area, and weâll likely be back again.

We stopped in Fredericksburg on our way home from a road trip and were given a choice of several places to have dinner. Most of them were the typical chains you find in Anywhere, USA. Not being a fan of them, but a huge fan of Indian cuisine, Guru was the logical choice. The service and food were both first rate and it was very reasonable. I don't like overly spicy food and our waiter made sure it was prepared to my liking, with extra seasoning on the side for my husband. The chicken and shrimp tandoor were exceptional.
