There is a reason that Himalaya is rated among the better restaurants in Flensburg, and the popularity was clear: The restaurant was full, even though it is a bit away from city center.Food is delicious (appropriately spicy and hot, as you can decide the level yourself), but nothing really special.Prices are VERY reasonable, and food is served in 10-15 minutes. The staff is kind and attentive, but service is a bit by routine.

Only tried this Indian restaurant in Flensburg and I wasn't disappointed. Curry was tasty and meal size was acceptable. What was in need of improvement was the poor dried naan bread, size of the chicken pieces and customer service (smiling was a real effort for the staff). Someone made a review saying you couldn't pay by CC?? I did, perhaps their machine wasn't working at some point but I had no issues paying with a c/card.

The Punjab Team has moved to Rathausstrasse 6 in the city centre and is now called Shalimar. The freshly cooked food is excellent and the helpings generous. For takeaway, I would seriously recommend ordering on the phone, otherwise you could end up waiting quite long, but the food makes up for the waiting time...
