We travelled to Cascais from Cape Town where the food is of a high standard. Having been disappointed in general by the traditional fare on offer in the town we decided we couldn't do any worse going for an Indian and we were thrilled with the food and it ironically ended up being the best meal of our 6 day trip! The poppadoms were crisp, the bhajis and samosas flavorsome and the curries (Korma, passanda and korai) were hot and hearty. We had two kids with us and one is a fussy eater, there wasn't anything non Indian for her, so she had rice and garlic naan and that was fine and she had to make do! Service was great and all in all it was a winning evening for us!

We went to this place with one of our Portuguese friend and the food was good. Of course one can not compare it with the Indian food in Indian restaurants but from our experience of eating in several Indian restaurants here in Lisbon, I can say that this place is worth trying and you wonât regret. However this is not the best! They are a bit costly as compared to the other nice places! Yet, we still went to Mayuara again on 1st if jan 2018.

This restaurant looked lovely as has huge windows which are open onto the lane,so you can watch the world go by as you eat.We had complimentary popadoms and sauces. Our starters were good too. We were asked to keep our dirty cutlery though,which we found odd. Our main course was a bit tasteless though ,we had paneer Shabaka. All in all a pleasant meal though and price was good.

Two of us sauntered near this restaurant when we were accosted by a very friendly staff who informed us they served Indian food. The place was deserted since it was early afternoon but we took a chance. We ordered the dal makhani and vegetable jalfreizi along with a roti. The food was delivered quickly, portions were ample and the taste was fabulous, though a tad on the sweet side. No issues though. The staff were friendly and were willing to answer general questions and sought to know us as well.The 20% discount was a nice touch. Perfect afternoon!

Excellent restaurant. Great interaction and service from the staff who talked us through the menu and even recommended dishes for our tastes. The starters were a mix from the menu rather than set selections and the food was first-class. In summary - great service and food in an atmospheric restaurant.
