I've been here twice now and the 1st time was better. Lovely flavours and more authentic than many other Indian restaurants nearby. The 1st visit was 4/5. The most recent visit not so good. I recommend booking, because even on a Sunday night, it gets very busy. There was a lady serving with an occasional man in the dining room. The women was running around doing everything though- answering the phone, taking orders, serving meals, giving out pick up orders, cleaning tables & bringing the bills. We were the 1st table to arrive, yet our order wasn't taken till after 2 other tables. We also had to wait to order more drinks, then yet again wait to get the bill at the end. The menu says the chicken khurchan is the favourite dish of the UK. I'm a regular Indian restaurant visitor, and in 15yrs living all over the UK, I have never heard of this dish!!! We asked whether they could make a jalfrezi or phall but advised they only had what was on the menu. The beef vindaloo had a good depth of flavour, but not hot considering we did ask for it extra spicy. The naan was oily but the rice lovely and fluffy. My friends butter chicken was lacking flavour, but the lamb dish was tender and tasty. Its BYO and $2.50 EACH for corkage, not per bottle. Our elderly friend was surprised to be charged even though he'd only sipped the wine to try as was driving. I realise this isn't much, but it doesn't cost $2.50 to wash a glass. We opened and poured the bottle ourselves with no staff involvement at all. The servings aren't huge, so get some vegetable sides also. Overall the meal had some nice flavours, but disappointing elements too.

Hadn’t been here before but went on a friend’s recommendation. Quiet little restaurant with great service and friendly staff. Lots of variety on the menu. Butter chicken and beef madras were both delicious and the rice was cooked perfectly - fabulous for soaking up all the delicious sauce with pappadums. Would definitely recommend.
Where to eat Italian food in Engadine: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We are big eaters and we can feed our family of 5 here for about $60. We always get a mixture of meat/chicken dishes (butter chicken, rogan josh etc) plus the beautiful vegetable dishes (potato & eggplant, pumpkin & onion, Dahl, etc) plus rice & 5 servings of their delicious cheese naan. Sometimes we add mixed pickles, mint yoghurt, pakora and samosas. They also do a mean tandoori wrap. The naan breads (cheese, plain, garlic) are made to order but only take a few minutes. The pakora and samosas are ready made and there's always a great variety of dishes as well as cold drinks.mThere are only 3 or four tables, but take away is easy.Mr India has also made the list of top 10 best cheap eats in Sydney, which is a well deserved place & not at all surprising.
