We came across this restaurant by accident, as the Lebanese restaurant we tried to get into was booked out. This is our 2nd visit in two months and we're not disappointed. We decided to give this restaurant a go as it was close by and looked nice inside. (both visits there was hardly any customers) We were greatly surprised and hugely impressed by the fresh flavors. We tried the lamb saag, chicken korma, aloo paratha & rice, all were delicious and well presented. The Restaurant is BYO and licensed and great value for money.

Serving Indian street food, curries, beers and great selection of whiskies in the heart of Northbridge.
I went for dinner tonight into this restaurant with a few colleagues. The restaurant looked very promising as we entered. They advertised Indian street food. There was a cart full of Paani Puri, the quintessential staple of Indian street food. The smells from the kitchen were promising a fine cuisine on offer. The menu looked interesting with Vodka filled Paani Puri, traditional less popular curries from North and South India, Sri Lankan Arrack based Lassi, etc. We ordered these items with lots of expectations. We were disappointed as the food arrived. The food was bland with lack of Indian Spices, lack of adequate salts that Indian foods need, lack of sour tastes (from tomatoes and tamarind). It tasted like Indian food made at home when people are sick. Usually as kids when we were sick, the food would be made bland. This food reminded me of that. I think the cooks really need to rethink their bland food strategy. The dishes are all right, just need to make them taste as they should. I hope it lives up to its potential. But I won't be visiting again.

For dining in or takeway, this little resturant is just humble, well cooked Indian food that is delicious. In particular, the goat curry, fish Malavarri and Chicken with spinach are unusual and taste great. Located on the resturant strip in Victoria Park, there is ample parking nearby.

Dinner with friends and their two children. I must say the food was excellent, I had the Vindaloo Lamb, absolutley brilliant, up there with any other Ive had. The wife had Curried fish which she liked, the samosas were lovely too (vegitable) Tandori chicken, Beef Korma, nothing disappointed. The only disapointing thing of the night was the two revenue raisers that fined me 60.00 for parking, I actually read the sign but as I had blury vision for some reason I thought it said parking ticket required until 6, but in effect it was 8. Other than that a great night out. So the lesson of today is read the signs, and if you feel inclined give them some words of advice when writing out the fine.

Been a few times and although the buffet never changes it is pretty good. Your choice of 2 rices, a stir fried cabbage, spicey potatoes, a fairly wet dahl, a one cup very sweet dessert and choice of tea gags or instant coffee. You pay as much as you think fits and I believe the moneys go to an Indian Religious Group. It is different, it is popular and it is worthwhile but donât go if you pretend to be a foodie

A family run Bangladesh/Anglo Indian inspired cuisine restaraunt. Using fresh local ingredients and homestyle recipes. With weekly specials we always have something new to try. We also have a lovely range of vegan friendly dishes. We are BYO and we don't
We ate at Jays a couple of weeks running recently. Its a very friendly and welcoming family affair. The produce Jay cooks with in his kitchen (and you can see him preparing it) is wonderfully fresh and local. The tasty pickles and entrees are homemade and served up ahead of incredibly tasty and dangerously moorish meat and vegetarian dishes. The meat is generally slow cooked and falling off the bone and the flavours deep and delicious. We couldn't recommend this perfect little family restaurant more!So glad you enjoyed our little restaurant. Look forward to seeing you guys again soon.

This place is always a hit with us and vegetarian friends, as they have an amazing selection of vegetarian dishes, each one so delicious!!!Staff are always friendly too. Not a place to get food in any sort of hurry though as staff usually potter about before taking orders and food takes a while to get to the table! The place has a cheap cafe come deli feel and could do with a bit of a revamp and perhaps some nice ethnic music to set the mood. In saying that itâs comfortable and welcoming and seems fairly busy. Definitely recommend the Aloo Cauli, the Chyau ko takari & Aloo bodi tama...Yum!
