Reviews on Indian food in Dimapur, Nagaland, India. Dimapur is the largest city in Nagaland, India. Contrary to popular belief, the city's formation in Nagaland is separate from that of Assam. In the Middle Ages, it was the capital of the Dimasa Kachari Kingdom. In the heart of the town there is an old relic of the Kachari Kingdom which speaks about the once prosperous era. It is located at 25°54′45″N 93°44′30″E / 25.91250°N 93.74167°E / 25.91250; 93.74167 and is bounded by Kohima district on the south and east, Karbi Anglong district of Assam (The Lalung - Tiwa Hills) on the west, the Karbi Anglong and stretch of Golaghat District of Assam, in the west and the north. The name Dimapur is derived from the Dimasa language]; 'Di" means "water", "ma" means "large" and "pur" (sanskritised word) means "city", translating to "Big-river-city", associated with the meaning of "Kachari" which is "people of the river valley" and after the river which flows through it (Dhansari). It is also the gateway to Nagaland and its only railhead. The city also has the only functional airport in the state.

A warm and fresh restaurant dishing out homely food that will fill you up and not pinch your pocket. Great for friends and families looking for momos, chow, fried rice, Naga combo meals, tandoor items and appetizers. Our momos will guarantee your return.
Situated at the centre location just near Big Bazaar, one can visit and enjoy with family and friend.
we had pork sizzler which was well cooked and the flavour was good.there are other choices of sizzler in chicken also. they also have some good starters, their chicken satay was good. would recommend this place especially for sizzlers.
After attending the Hornbill Festival, we were on return journey. After few days of struggling with food, we are looking for some chicken and rice. We found this KFC outlet besides our hotel at Dimapur. Location is good, sitting arrangements, service and everything is fine. I loved to take my meal at here.
The only Coffee Shop for Nagaland's "BEST EXPORT QUALITY COFFEE". Every cup has a direct impact on the lives of Naga coffee farmers
Nagaland coffee shop is beautifully decorated. There are drinks moctails and even snacks available here. I drank ice coffee but it wasn't so very much up to the mark. The eateries were just moderate. But the decor is quite cool. It's quite spacious.

This place is perfect for a dinner out for family with kids on weekends or occassions..the 3 course buffet was delicious and wholesome and well presented ..the salads and desserts have a variety of choice and the kulfi nation is a must try also the juice section has interesting concoctions (non alcoholic)..very reasonable pricing.. value for money and they dont allow tipping as well...the staff are kids friendly which is a plus point..the staff even did a birthday performance which i think was really cool..it was some other customers birthday tho but it was entertaining for everyone present there especially the kids..This place is highly recommended for family outings and for foodies.
