Last visited two months ago and thought it was back where it used to be. Tonight, the food was good apart from the paratha but the atmosphere was not enhanced by lacsadaisical service. Certainly not a venue for a special night out. Will try again in two months time.

They do not have a website of their own but are a well-established business.
We are within walking distance for takeaway or eating in and we are never disappointed. The food is great quality and consistent whenever and however many of us there are. Eating in, it's small but the atmosphere is friendly and the service is always attentive and friendly. They have stopped trying to guess my 'usual' because I no longer have one - the menu is great and the only dishes I don't order are the ones I find a bit too hot for my palate. The only criticism I have is that in the summer, the restaurant gets far too warm for us to be comfortable eating in. We end up having a takeaway and eating it in the garden at home though so it's not a bad thing. If you don't have that option (ie have driven to eat there), it could be a little stuffy on a warm day. Well worth a visit.

Great little BYO. Nice to have an Indian restaurant with a bright and airy feel. The food was simply one of the best curries we have had for quite some time. We will be returning soon.

Est. 2018. We are a family run Bangladeshi/Indian restaurant and take-away, located in the lovely town called Bruton. Our goal is to please and satisfy all our customers whether you're hungry or just a bit pekish. We aim to always serve you the best curri
We havenât been to Bruton Spice for a long while, I had already put a post on a FB Bruton group to get other customers opinions and they had all come back with really positive feedback, so we decided to have a Friday night family visit. On arrival the restaurant is clean and inviting, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, easy parking outside or around in the high street. We all had the poppadums to begin with which were light and not greasy with lovely accompaniments. Then I had Tandoori King Prawns as a starter the rest of my family had a chicken tikka starter, prawn puri and mixed starter. All were perfectly cooked, extremely fresh - cooked to order, delicious and well presented, (the restaurant had another table of 6 to wait on, and were very busy with takeaway orders so there was a slight delay on receiving our starters as the kitchen was buzzing, they were well worth the wait). We had then ordered chicken tikka main, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo and a tandoori chicken masala. I was delighted by the freshness and flavour of the chicken tikka which came out on a clay dish still sizzling with onions. A perfect balance of spices and very tasty. We had chana masala, mushroom rice, plain rice, special rice and a plain naan bread. All the rices was lovely light and well balanced and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Just the right amount of food as well. Overall a great night out, they donât charge corkage for your own alcohol that you can bring, as they are not licensed. You can buy soft drinks there. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant fresh delicious Indian Cuisine, lovely friendly atmosphere and we will definitely return soon.
