Bought Tikka Chilli Lamb Madras, pilau rice, peshwari nan, and Butter Chicken. Twopoppadums came gratis. Total £17.30 The poppadums were waxy and did not 'snap' when broken. The rice had a strange hue I hadn't seen before, pink bits of something or other added. The nan was not cooked freshly, was soggy and lukewarm. Definitely not worth £17.30. On the plus side the madras was just about right as far as 4* heat guide goes. They do a Phall at 7* Both mains could have been warmer. Best left as a fall back eatery.
This carry out was formerly the BILAL HOUSE. Not much has changed, even the faces behind the counter are the same. Portions are good but there's nothing to distinguish it from any other Indian around. I see prices have crept up. With one nan bread , 2 popadums, and 2 mains £21. Much too expensive for what it is. There's better not far away.

Thought we would try out this place tonight, just phoned our usual order for an Indian. Lamb Korma, with pilau rice, naan bread and kids chicken nuggets with chips. When i went to pick up my order i was astounded when it came to £17.40. Now on to the food itself, the naan bread wasnât freshly made, the lamb in the Korma was tough, tasteless and there was very little in the portion size. The kids chicken nuggets was 6 small frozen nuggets with a small bag of chips. This place is in no way good value. There are 3 other Indian takeaways in the area that are all cheaper and will provide a better and bigger meal for less expense. Will never be back here.

Nice place near the City Hall. Had a spicy honey chicken. Freshly cooked and very good. Generous portions. White Pinot Grigio also fine. Recommendable!
