Spice Tandoori

We had not made a booking and palpably disappointed the manager by not ordering poppadoms and for asking about lassis. No matter. The lamb tikka was very good, the Chicken Ceylon a little tired. Naan breads were pretty good. Overall an above average curry experience though nothing spectacular.

Alex Chinese Takeaway

The locals that I talked to said it was decent food so we tried it and it was - have had way worse. We wanted something easy and were tired of the pubs. The Singapore noodles were not like I expected but were at least tasty - the dry ribs appetizer portion were good as was the lemon chicken. The fried rice was pretty bland but it came free with the chicken. I reasonable change of pace.

Spice Tandoori

We just had another amazing meal at Spice Tandoori. We eat here whenever we are in Thurso and we are never disappointed! We think the food is amazing, but it is the service and the warm, friendly greeting we get that makes the meal special. It was back in May when we last visited, but the owner remembered where we sat and what I had for dinner! He always makes us feel so welcome and appreciated as does the whole staff. We will continue to eat here every time we are in town and we will always recommend it to everyone!

Rated 2nd in Scotland, and we agree that Sid’s Spice is great! We ordered from Sid’s Signature Dishes, ‘Sid House Special’ and ‘Goan Lamb Delicacy’, together with lemon cashew nut rice, Tarka Dall and a butter chapati. Flavours exceeded our expectation, rich, interesting and varied. Portion size is perfect. Allow a couple of hours for your meal, but any wait is totally worthwhile. First class flavours in the most unexpected place. Five stars from us, and definitely looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for your kind words - yes the Goan Lamb is a favourite with many - Sid
