Things to do in Burlington
Service was terrible, waited forever, the food was okay, nothing special, actually it was a little heavier than what one would expect from this sort of Asian cuisine. We ordered mostly Thai dishes and they just weren't so great. Again, we waited forever for the service and the place was pretty empty.

What a pleasant surprise I had when I enjoyed a late lunch at the Burlington Mall food court.Gourmet India serves wonderful, authentic Indian cuisine that is as good as at many of the better restaurants back home (in Florida.)They offer combination platters so that you can build your own meal with a meat dish and a vegetable, plus your choice of rice or nan. That's the Combo #1, which I had for the very reasonable price of $8.40.I found each dish, the Curry Chicken and the Daal to be very tasty. With their delicious gravy spread over a full plate of white rice I had a very nice meal. Each of the components of the combo come separately in a small but reasonably sized bowl. With the vegetable and meat dish on the rice there is plenty of food. After my lunch I walked back to the counter to compliment the staff on their excellent food. I wasn't surprised when I saw that the customers lining up for food were Sikhs and Indians. These folks obviously know what good Indian food is and where to find it.I suggest you give Gourmet India a try.

My friend and I were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the lunch buffet there. For $10 we did not expect to see such a display of different dishes. I can't say I know my Indian food, but I think everything they prepared at the buffet was quite fresh and lovely.

I went there with my office colleagues for a Friday buffet. I was quite pleasantly surprised with the quality and variety of food. What I loved was there was no Chholay. The curries were not customized for wimpy American stomachs. Couple of them were real H O T. The desert was Apple Halwa which is a far cry from the stupid colored Carrot Halwa, or Kheer. The Dosas that were served were crisp and awesome. The rotis that they served hot and fresh were really coooooooool. Even the salad was totally different from what I am used to eating at Indian joints.Few things I didn't like were the fact that the waiters would not cater to fresh water or clear the dishes from the table. The sambhar by far was the single worst dish I ate. It was nothing but dal's desperate attempt to look and taste like Sambhar. Also I wish the spoons/forks/glasses and water are made available at the tables and not having to get up to get them. The interiors are nothing to make you feel great or welcome. All in all, I will surely go again for a cheap eat.

Saffron Indian Grill offers a taste of Indian street food as well as classic and modern takes on regional cuisine. For lunch enjoy an Indian Thali, round tray with small bowls filled with appetizer, entrees, salad, rice, bread and dessert or a lighter tak
Tewksbury/Andover/Lowell have a lot of high-tech workers (code for Asian/South Asian) so it should be no surprise that there are some pretty good Indian/Pakistani restaurants in the area.Add Saffron to the list.On the advice of my colleague, I went with the Thali (I tend to go heavy on lamb and naan, as anyone who has ever read more than a couple of my restaurant reviews would know), and it was much less filling than when I descend on a buffet. I asked for "Indian hot" and while it was hot, it could have been hotter without obscuring the nice flavors.Wish lamb had been one of the options for the Thali! Thanks for your kind words and feedback. The chef chooses the entree items for the lunch thali daily and includes lamb one or two days a week. We'll try to make it hotter next time.

Delicious! Weâve eaten here many times (and had plenty of take-out) and it never disappoints. The food is excellent and made to order regarding how spicy or mild you like it. The shrimp tandoori masala is so good that I have a hard time ordering anything else!
