Have heard about this place for a while, but never been. Must admit I was very nicely surprised with how good it is. The service was excellent and the food even better. The chicken zafrani which was recommended by the waiter was one of the best Indian dishes Iâve ever had.Think weâve found our new fav curry house in the area and will go again and see if the consistency is there

Fantastic food. The front of house waiter so sorry I didn't catch your name is hilarious. I think the person a few reviews below me has no sense of humour lol.Beautiful starter of giant king prawns I. Tasted like grilled lobster. Came quickly and was perfectly cooked. For main I had a dish I hadn't heard of before and I know my Indian food, chicken Golap. Very good! My partner had Masala lamb shank and holy moly it was so good I tried some. So good I'm going to try and re-create it tomorrow in my slow cooker! Absolutely fantastic. Great portionsWe were on holiday but if we're ever in the village again we'll deffo be coming back!!! Yum yum yum!!! My photos don't do it justice.

Whilst I realise this review should be of my latest visit it would be unfair not to mention that previous experiences of this restaurant and my chosen dish have been excellent - certainly not so yesterday evening..I was in a group of 9 and we all ordered from the banquet menu which seemed excellent value. I asked to pay extra for 'TIGER BY THE RIVER', a tiger prawn dish which I very much enjoyed twice before. This time the prawns were very over cooked, rather mashed-up in the curry sauce and totally tasteless except for a slight 'burnt' taste. Yes, I should have complained at the time but I was trapped in my bench seat and didn't want to embarras my host on his stag night..Some of my group commented that their food was 'not the best' and we have experienced better service in the past as well. Hoping for much better next visit.
