A restaurant of the Hotel Legend in Allahabad, it earned name quite swiftly in TripAdvisor. I visited this restaurant with my friends to give it a try. The prices are at par with the likes of Moti Mahal Deluxe and Pind Balluchi (for example a paneer curry costs between Rs. 300-350, etc.), the quality is also nearly the same. However, the services are on the slower side. The restaurant has less crowdiness than MMD, Sagar Ratna, etc., hence, could be preferable to those, who want to avoid too much rush and waiting time. The restaurant is not very large and the taste of the food is above average. I would say food in Moti Mahal Deluxe (in Vinayak City Centre Mall) tastes better. However, if you are expecting anything exceptional, then this is not the place. I tried Mushroom Matar here and I was disappointed. The prices are medium-high to high and its menu can be viewed in Zomato app.

Hari Ram & Sons is a famous shop of Allahabad, known for its iconic mini masala samosas. Located in the crowded Loknath area of Chowk, it prides itself on its pure ghee products. The quality has fallen while the prices have risen astronomically! Not worth the hype.

Specializes in South Indian especially
This restaurent on the Thor hill road of Allahabad is at a nice location with comfortable parking space. The restaurent has pleasant ambience externally and internally. Seems to be quite popular amongst locals. Serves only vegetarian food of South Indian and Chinese types. South Indian food however is not much authentic. Hygiene and service are good though.

The food is very average in terms of quality and taste. For a city like Allahabad it is one of the best. In a bigger city like Delhi/Mumbai, this restaurant would never have survived this long with the quality they serve.I ordered:Fish and Chips: The fish was extremely oily. Way too oily.Chicken Spring Roll: This was good.Cold Coffee: They have really maintained the taste on this and it is good; but quite expensive at Rs.155/- per glass. They have recently (I guess maybe in the past 4-5 years) renovated the interiors which does make it a little better than earlier. However, I fail to understand why they could renovate the toilets too. The tap is all broken and it has been like this since the time I have been visiting over 25-30 years !! This is a normal approach of most Indian establishments in general, the entrance will be renovated first, make it flashy so people can come in, the toilets - who cares !

Went to this restaurant with my family. This is a pure veg restaurant and offers a large variety of dishes. Dishes offered are very tasty and yummy. ambience inside is very good and service is also fine. Staffs are well trained. This is basically a south indian chain restaurant so you can expect a lot variety of south indian dishes. Price is a bit on the higher side.

One of the best restaurants - Dewsis is in the basement of Platinum Inn, and serves food until 3 AM. I had dinner from Hotel Dewsis - I had Paneer Manjurian and then plain dosa. The paneer manjurian was excellent - right mix of spices and salt.

Cafe Elchico is the only Cafe in Allahabad, which serves, Wood Fired Oven Thin Crust Pizzas and Meals. We have a wide selection of Continental, Mexican and Italian Cuisine on offer. We are a tourist friendly Cafe' and accept all Major Credit Cards and maj
`We went to El chico with our guests from other cities on 25th feb 2019 but were ashamed by the Services provided by the staff. The traditional cotton napkins were no where....... even after using the finger bowls we had to wait for paper tissues for more than 10 mins. Tandoori roti could not be served for 15 mins after which we had to cancel our order and get our gravy packed. Even El chico pudding has lost its flavour ..... may use of canned fruits ..... El choco had always beenthe first choice for Prayagvasies but the services wre pathetic this time ..... may be change in management
