Restaurant located in an Old Town Square, serves Armenian and regional Roztocze cuisine. I could recommend nettle soup and “pieróg biłgorajski” from regional and Tolma from Armenian cuisine which were quite good. I definitely could not recommend soup with cream served cold (“chłodnik”). Service seemed lost. I expected the food and the restaurant to make a better impression.

We took an overnight trip here from Rzeszow, Poland and arrived in mid-day. We were over-ready for lunch. We asked one of the locals where they would recommend for lunch and it was Verona's--for Italian food. No problem getting a table. We were promptly waited on and as we were glancing at other tables, you could see and smell the pizzas. But no one in our party ordered pizza! We had salads and appetizers to start. I don't know what it is, but European salads top American salads by far! I had a simple salad with cucumber and tomato with balsamic dressing and it was gourmet! Our main plates included vegetable lasagne, barbecued pork, fish, and chicken. I had the spinach dumplins which were 7 large pierogis with a garlic cream sauce. Once again, simply gourmet! If I were to visit Zamosc again, I would definitely eat at this outdoor cafe. It is right on the main square where we were also able to enjoy the demonstrations of costumed soldiers shutting off guns and duels between sword fighters. The background setting of the town square is so picturesque. There is also Seating downstairs in the underground cellar, but we preferred to be outdoors as it was a beautiful, sun-shiny day in Zamosc and Verona's topped off our visit!

Yes, we wish we could've sat in the cellar, but because it was a fine day when we arrived for our early dinner, they weren't serving indoors. But the outdoor setting on the square was lovely. The pierogi were delicious. The trout was excellent. And the sundaes were worth flying to Poland for! What a delight and a luxury to be able to enjoy a meal here, topped off with such a luscious dessert. I can only believe that I did something good in a prior life, to be able to deserve this.

Tucked away about 19 minutes walk from the main part of the old town, this place was a delight to find after researching around. Some good beers on tap all of course brewed on site. Good choice of food on the menu, though as a tip take a phrase book or dictionary with you as there was no English menu. All three courses were nicely prepared, nice atmosphere and not too crowded on a Sunday evening. So if you are in Zamosc and fancy a meal with good beers away from the main centre, then can do no wrong by coming here.

I can't understand what it has the highest rating. I would even suspect somebody is writing positive reviews here on purpose... This restaurant is a part of a 3* hotel. We were expecting a fairly elegant place. That was most disappointing. When going there you pass by a small game place (where poor looking man spend money on slots - casino machines, standing tightly one next to another in a tiny room) - in the same building! The interior of the restaurant was reminding of communist time and so were the other guests - somewhat poorly dressed, older man, for sure left their families to watch a football game and drink vodka together. Anyway, I have to admit that the food was good (we ordered soups) and prices are low - good value for money. Staff was really helpful and tried to be polite but clearly they were lacking a good training on how to serve guests at a restaurant. The right place for a good and cheap lunch but don't go there for a dinner with your couple.

Stopped here for lunch on arrival in Zamosc and just had the traditional herring starter and a less traditional king prawn and avocado salad with a lemon dressing. Both were excellent and my wife really enjoyed a glass of prosecco and I had a great but unpronounceable beer!

After failing to get into Bar Asia at night we saw CP just round the corner which I saw had good reviews on TripAdvisor.
The pub is very cosy inside with good bluesy instrumental music giving it a relaxed atmosphere. Driving, we opted for the korzenny rarytas (root spices - see photo) - a great spicy tea for 8zl. The menu is comprehensive and the kids had the breaded Turkey (14zl) - good, I went for the Corner Burger (15zl) and my wife the borsch and then apple fritters with plum jam - deliciously crispy with big apple slices inside the batter (12zl).
So, great place for relaxed informal dining with nice helpful waiters.
