There were not many at the restaurant and I wondered if we would get the service that we had heard about. The waiter was very attentive and we were served in a timely manner. We had been staying at Copalinga and it was about 8 dollars for taxi fare, but worth it. The Talipia was good and the small fried potato sticks were also good. If we had brought our swimsuits we could have swam in the inviting pool. We plan on eating there again when in Zamora.

Casteloz is a concept completely new pizza restaurant. Unlike the classic Italian pizza in our restaurant exudes the original environment, both in decor and music. Our gastronomic proposal puts a focus on providing our customers a wide variety of salads, lassagnas, sandwiches, and desserts. However, the star dish on our menu is pizza, an original and innovative product that sets us apart from the competition and gives us greater value.
It is quite hard to find good food in Zamora. Most places serve only their traditional mountain of rice with chicken! However, Casteloz had a variety of dishes, mainly Italian. We tried several of their pizzas. Our favorite is the tuna pizza! We live in Cuenca were there´s many pizza places, but Casteloz beats all of them!!! Marlon -the owner- is a nice guy who speaks English fluently.
We definitively recommend Casteloz, the best pizza place in Zamora!

We are artisans who make Bolivian Bouillon patties on request
I love this restaurant and regularly frequent it with my boyfriend. And when I say regularly, I do mean regularly (4 to 5 times a week in the last two months)! The restaurant is open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
Crika is a sweet little cafeteria style restaurant set with wooden tables and stools and a background music of Andean tunes. The ambience is friendly and relaxed. The main attraction here is the saltena, the Bolivian take on the empanada. Saltenas are like a pasty or an empanada with a hard and slightly sweet pastry encasing a hot stew like filling of meat, peas and potatoes. At Crika they offer chicken or beef saltenas and they are so delicious you'll think longingly of them, long after you've eaten. Also on the menu are humitas (corn dumplings), tamales (think humitas but with a center filling of chicken and peas), and quimbolitos (which taste deliciously like pancakes). All of these offerings are home made and very tasty. There are home made salsas to complement the saltenas and tamales too. I would be happy just eating here but there's also a great range of drinks. The freshly made juices and smoothies are refreshing and luscious with a range of fruit to choose from (blackberry, coconut, passionfruit, tree tomato, mango, strawberry, guanabana). There are also milkshakes on the menu, coffee and a range of herbal teas (mint, coca, lemon grass, camomile, etc.). If you thought all this might be enough, the owners of the restaurant are attentive, friendly and as sweet as quimbolitos.
Like I said, I do love this place. And even though I eat here so frequently, I'm still yet to tire of eating here as everything's so easy to enjoy.

This is a very casual, artsy, fun place to relax and eat and enjoy conversation with Linda, your hostess with the mostest. She dishes love and wonderful food. The nachos were very healthy, and probably the best we'd ever had. The coffee was excellent, and the herbal teas delicious. The ambiance is very friendly and fun. I highly recommend you eat at Inza while in Zamora. The longer you stay in Zamora, the greater your appreciation of Inza.

When in Zamora, I eat most of my meals at Semillas. Each day, Richard serves something really tasty and filling. I feel satisfied and energized by the delicious, healthy cooking. Richard is the owner and chef and he makes sure everyone receives his attention and is satisfied with the meal. This restaurant is clean and the food good. Many business people pack the place at lunchtime. I highly recommend this wonderful eatery!

A small new restaurant in Zamora open in the evening (many are only open for lunch). The food was good and portions healthy. The burgers and grilled meats were fresh and delicious. The family is really working hard to make this a great Zamora restaurant.
Family restaurant located 10 minutes from Zamora. Our cuisine revolves around several elements such as fish, meat, yucca, banana and fresh products of the area, .. Our specialties find us with traditional and contemporary flavors and aromas of the Ecuadorian Amazon...
