Zahara de los Atunes is a village on the Costa de la Luz of Spain in the province of Cádiz and the autonomous region of Andalusia. It is noted for its excellent beaches, an outdoor cinema, and la Iglesia Del Carmen church where, curiously, tuna (caught in Almadraba traps) was butchered and salted. Also in the town there are excellent facilities including a variety of restaurants, cafes and hotels.

We chose this restaurant because of the good rating. However our experience is not all positive.
We ordered salmon tartare and got tuna tartare, the carpaccio de pulpo was drowned in its dressing and the croquettes were tasteless.
We did like the chuleton rubia meat at €45/kg but half of it was bone or grease so we paid for 3kg or €30/pp (it was more than enough) which is rather steep.
We chose a €15 wine but they came back and advised us a €30 bottle which scored 3.7 on Vivino at an average price of €4.8.
With a total bill of €258 for 5 we would have expected a little bit more.

We visited Ramon Pipi twice this year in June and September and were greeted as old friends.
The range and quality of dishes is still excellent. The many tuna dishes are some of the best quality in Zahara especially the Morillo.
The restaurant is moving into bigger premises next year and we wish the very well and will definitely be visiting in their new premises.

In a perfect position by the sea with a great view this is one of the best places to eat lunch or dinner in Zahara. Perfect service and exceptional food with good wine recommendations. Lovely buzzy atmosphere and easy to walk to. Suitable for all ages and food tastes.

We visited for lunch on Easter Sunday and were lucky to arrive early enough to get a table - soon the place was full, people were waiting and the phone kept ringing. Not surprising, given the quality of the food and the service. We will definitely eat here again.

This place will be super-crowded in high season, but don't pass it by. Try to get a place at the bar. Vegetarians can order the zucchini salad or the grilled artichokes. Seafood lovers can't go wrong with any of the assorted seafood tapas. Whatever you do, don't pass up dessert. The chef may come out to talk to you and he is very free with sharing his recipes.

Restaurante ubicado en el centro de Zahara de los Atunes. Cabaret pirata con cocina fusión y productos de la tierra, con el Atún Rojo de Almadraba como protagonista.
Love this restaurant, in the heart of the bustle with great food. Amazing Spanish classics with a twist... cooked to perfection and presented in a stunning way... perfect squid, beautiful steak with roast potatoes ( skin on), seared tuna with lots of delicate sauce and crunchy accompaniments.
They are not large servings, just right for ordering a few dishes.
Service was friendly and good , except dessert which a bit slow to arrive, as the restaurant was busy and it was forgotten.
Very good vibe. Lovely place to eat.
Hard to get a table, but will be glad if you do.
Overall, think this place is fantastic.

A few meters from the beach in Zahara , Campero 's Tavern is a local fresh and relaxed atmosphere , with white walls and blue sea , dotted with marine motifs , typical of the environment. With the wild bluefin tuna trap as a star, the letter is complete with dishes of traditional local cuisine with a Japanese touch and cuisine. Perfect for tapas and sharing plates with friends site.
This was our worst eating experience in Zahara. The food we ordered was average where as everywhere else we ate was superb. Service was poor and abrupt. The bill was slammed down on the table by a man who then said "ready"? Such a shame...MoreSentimos que su experiencia en nuestro restaurante no fuese como esperaba. Un saludo.

21 Restaurante is a warm and cosy restaurant in the heart of Zahara. There are only 5 tables inside and a couple more outside. The decoration is different mixing antique furniture with a modern touch. The cuisine is International incorporating local products like red tuna and Retinto beef as well as exotic products from around the world. The head chef Ali Palmieri is Australian and has worked worldwide. The restaurant also displays art and on the 21st of every month both the art exhibition and the menu change.
This is the best restaurant i have been to. I have eaten there 3 times on my visits to Spain. Amazing service and food. Extremely homey feeling and always choose a la carte and allow the chef to choose for you. You will never be disappointed if you appreciate world class food.

Restaurante & Terraza.
Even as a stranger, I was made to feel welcome. The staff really look after you, and while not oppressive, they certainly care and are there to help. The all have some English and have English mended.
Mots notable dishes: Beef Tataki ( I was skeptical but was lovely.) The Tuna tartar was especially good. I geeked out on violet ice cream-- something I'd never had before. I suspect the could to a great seafood meal also really enjoy spinach/bacon salad
