If you want the best fillet steak in Australia, come here for dinner! Limited opening hours - please check to avoid disappointment. Bookings recommended for weekend. Great accommodation also available and private dining room. Service is great too!
We stayed here for one night and I can't speak highly enough about our experience. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean and would be perfect even for a much longer stay. A super comfortable King size bed, nice modern sofa, desk, wardrobe and dressing table unit, bedside tables with lamps, Large bathroom with plenty of space for toiletries, big walk in shower and everything you might need in the way of basic toiletries.
There is a tea and coffee making station which was well stocked, fridge/freezer with milk and ice and power points for charging phones etc.
Table and chair on the narrow patio has a rosemary hedge to offer a little privacy from the road and was a nice place to enjoy our morning cup of coffee after a very comfortable and quiet night.
Thank you Nora (and Max) ... when we return to York we'll be looking forward to staying with you again.

Breakfasts,Great Burgers, Fish and Chips, milkshakes, smoothies, fresh Juices, Gluten Free, Vegan and Vegetarian catered for.
Ordered pancakes told they had none? In other words out of a packet and not home/ freshly made :( Drinks were nice, we got tasty shakes and spiders and staff were pleasant. Several dirty tables around while the owner sat chatting ?? Chairs outside grubby and sticky!

A good pub meal. Food was fine and quite a lot and very well presented. If you hungry and want it NOW its the place to go. Only real disappointment was no eftpos but an atm in the foyer. To be fair two bears and two t-bones for under $50.00 is good value!!!

Because I live in York i have been here many times. With a tennis court right next to it, a playground for the kids in eyesight, basketball courts and netball courts, football oval and two hockey fields behind the rec center! Awesome place for dinner with choices for the kids!

We wanted an early meal one night while in York so chose Golden York Chinese Restaurant as they open before 5pm for dinner. We shared two dishes and both were delicious. The restaurant itself is quite basic but clean and comfortable. I can thoroughly recommend the dishes as both generous and delicious. The owners and staff were friendly and we had a really enjoyable evening.

After being disappointed that York hasn't caught up with some other places in WA on the cafe and restaurant scene, we were delighted to find this well designed complex based on the historical flour mill for afternoon tea. We had tea and a tasty orange and almond cake (my husband had a scone) sitting in the outside area, and then browsed around the gallery which is a step up from many 'craft' places. Three quirky figures made by a local artist now adorn my jarrah mantelpiece in Fremantle!

Went to Nguyen Bakery Cafe for lunch with Mum and partner. We were blown away with the choice of bakery eats available from pies to pastries and everything in between. We ordered hamburgers and fish and chips with milkshakes. The burgers were fresh and tasty and served with delicious chips. The milkshakes were cold and the right sweetness, however, they could have added a little more ice-cream as they were very thin. Mum was a little disappointed with her battered fish due to the type of fish used - "too mushy". The staff were friendly and pretty efficient (our server was new so still learning). The place was so busy with all the locals calling in to get sandwiches, pies or pastries. Everything is so competitively priced with generous servings. We went back the next day and got some rice paper rolls and pastries to takeaway. The rice paper rolls were delicious (and we are fussy) and enjoyed the chocolate eclair and choc fudge ball as well. Overall, fantastic bakery with cheap and tasty food, a real winner evidenced by the popularity with the locals.

Serving Breakfast Lunch Take aways and Country Fried Chicken Family are welcome we have Kids menu and High chairs Cosy log Fire in Winter
York in WA is focused on tourism leveraging off its first inland town in WA status ... so it's not surprising to see a few cafes in town ... and competition makes for a very good level of friendly service but Mad Mo's has something special going with its self named hamburger (plus egg) ... straight out of my childhood memories of a large hamburger, with genuine beef rissole sized patty, beetroot, fried onion, cheese, salad etc etc ... and an egg ... all fresh, hot and enormous wrapped in a fresh white roll (had to tackle it with knife and fork in fear I would wear it if I even attempted to take a bite of the stack). Oh yeah a full sized meal ... washed down with a fresh pot of English Breakfast tea ... yep loved it ... nice to see the good olde ozzie burger still survives.

Smiling young staff and reasonably prompt service. Establishment does not supply newspapers for patrons to read. Our breakfast was overpriced for what we received. All ingredients seemed cheap and nasty. Egg yolks lacked any colour, bacon was not tasty, bread was low quality white slathered in margarine. Yuk!! Coffee cups were only two thirds filled.
