A Little Relaxation with your Recreation! Minervas Grill and Bar in Yankton, SD is found inside the Best Western Kelly Inn, where we are a local favorite as well as a destination for visitors. Customers rave about our hand-cut, in-house aged steaks, fresh seafood, chops, and classic pasta dishes. A full bar stands in the center of our restaurant, with plenty of seating and access to flat screen TVs.
I would rank this similar to a TGI Friday's as far as type and quality of food. But it's a little more pricey than TGI. I had the Gorgonzola Steak Pasta -- it was good, except the caramelized onions were not a good flavor for...MoreThank you for dining with us, HowdyDudes!

This Starbucks is typical of most, nothing really stands out at this location. This location is located near the front of the Hy-Vee entrances which makes it convenient in that sense. The coffee is good and taste of a typical Starbucks. The nice thing about this location is you can do your grocery shopping while sipping a latte.

We stopped for an ice cream break before getting to our motel in town. This place was busy but we didn't need to wait long. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The ice cream was good!

El Tapatio is a wonderful sit-down Mexican restaurant that serves huge portions in a great atmosphere. Employees are friendly and service is good. Restrooms are always clean. Prices are right. While fast food Mexican places do come in handy, if I have the time, I much prefer paying a few extra dollars and eating here.
I love how employees don't seem to mind if patrons stay and chat a bit after finishing meals.
They will prepare any of their options for carry out.

This is a drive thru only coffee shop. The coffee was good, and the service was fast. This is a good place to pick up a cup on your way to work in the morning or for a fast afternoon pickup.

Well the family said, "I was on my own" if I want to eat raw fish - works for me! I have liked Sushi ever since I spent some time in Tokyo. Obviously, precautions regarding the consumption of raw food should be considered - is the restaurant clean, is the Chef a Sushi Master, is the fish fresh and the food handled and presented properly. You know the old saying, "The Sushi is really good or you are really sick". Well they have it spot on at the Tokyo Japanese Cuisine restaurant in Yankton. I found the service and presentation to be excellent, the Sushi was well prepared and inventive and the flavors superb. If you have not tried the restaurant, do so - my experience, a great place to eat!

The atmosphere is very pleasant with photographs and paintings by local artists. There is an excellent view of the river from inside as well as from the patio. Though only a small lunch menu, there were interesting variety of flatbreads as well as a selection of salads, sandwiches and one pasta dish. The food was excellent.

I grew up in Yankton. During the 70s, my friends and I avoided Charlie's because there was much better pizza in town. I am back in town for a visit and was excited to try Charlie's because of all the wonderful TA reviews. Last night I ordered "The Works". The crust was obscenely salty. The toppings probably were good, but were overshadowed by the extreme salt from the crust. Maybe I'll try Charlie's again in another 40 years, if I'm still around.

The Loose meat Tastee sandwiches are the best I have had in the upper Midwest. The malts are great and have real "malt" flavoring. A great local Mom and Pop drive inn diner with car hops. I love to get my meal and then drive down to the river and eat it watching to boats go by. A great treat!

This is a very large restaurant, spread through many rooms. Each room is a focus on antiques, buffets, old cars, cocktails....and on and on...It is even hard to go to the bathroom because you are so busy looking around at all the "things". We enjoyed a cheeseburger but reviewed each plate as it went by from the buffet. All of the food looked delicious....and many folks seemed to pick out their desert first. Which to me is a sign of great food.
