Found this place by accident and glad I did.

The bar area has a great comforting feel to it, Somewhat of the Mountain resort bars on the slope
The staff are all nice and attentive, the food was EXCELLENT. The steak was out of this world. Plenty of good beers on tap and my water glass was never empty.

I feel the prices were very reasonable.

If you are on the road, plan to eat here.

Small coffee & sandwich shop on the corner of Main St and 4th St. Friendly service and good sandwiches. We had the special - homemade brats, they were superb! We also ordered mochas which seemed very weak on the chocolate. The owner insisted they were mixed properly but did add more chocolate, they then tasted wonderful!

We dropped by for lunch mid-afternoon today. We really enjoyed a nice salad bar--hadn't had Frog-eye salad in ages--delicious. Great homemade potato salad. Enjoyed the special, but the real reason for this review was dessert! My husband and I split a homemade creampuff---the homemade cream filling was DIVINE! We would return just for another.....but, this time we would both have our own! (And maybe start the occasion with dessert first!) Bravo!

LaLa's Bakery & Espresso Bar

Reviewed By JLDC - Smithfield, Virginia

This bakery is on the corner of the main part of town. Originally a 1908 bank building that has been coverted into a bakery, espresso, gift shop. We sat in the main room and ordered an apple cinnomon bun, apple muffin, coffee and lemonade. The baked goods were very good and fresh and drinks good. High tin ceiling, decorative tin molding and old vault from the bank are still there. The counter was neat as there wer coffee beans under glass. Large high windows like old banks. Several locals came in while we were there. Enjoyed the visit and would go again.

Probably most tourists, like us, were there to watch the Greater Prairie Grouse display on a Lek (site where males dance to attract females). After this crack of dawn event (reservations required) our group repaired to the Riverside Café for a much needed breakfast. Of course, all the locals were happy to see yet another group of birders and were very friendly. Food was topnotch. Service fast and efficient. If I were in Wray again, I would definitely eat breakfast and lunch here.

This friendly place offers quite a variety of menu options. All sandwiches seemed excellent. I had a Turkey bacon avocado called the Cam Sam that was terrific! Sandwiches also come with a bag of chips. Their home baked cookies are really amazing and not to be missed! Was well worth the stop.

La Familia Restaurant

Excellent food. Not many restaurants in Wray, and not many were open late afternoon. Service was exceptional, food delicious. Older building, clean, and set-up the best it could be for a very modest building and furnishings. Not a dive, but a great place out of the way. If you like good tex mex, this is worth your stopping. Things haven't changed in years because it works. A bit pricey, but the location I'm sure has high freight/gas to get the goods there.

We stopped in on our way through. The restraurant is attached to a motel. That should have told us something, but there were a lot of cars in the parking lot so thought it may be okay. The hamburger was very good. We asked for the side salad instead of fries. The lettuce was old with many pieces (more than 1/2 ) covered with rusty color. Not a good salad at all. The Thousand Island dressing was watered down. The waitress didn't return to refill drinks until we were just about ready to leave and then since I had about 1/3 of a glass left she said she would be back after I finished that to give me more tea!! I would try to find another place if I was needing to eat in this town.
