Great value place with consistently good food and service.
Best thing after food, service, cleanliness and location ... free WiFi and for those of you that know the area .. zero mobile reception as Woolacombe is a beautiful getaway ... sometimes.. .. just sometimes.... it's nice to have a little shot of the Internet. Family friendly. Fab Sunday roast. Open for morning coffee. Seating inside and out. Can be lively in the evenings too.

Very friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Had salt & pepper squid, delicious & the mussels were the BEST I've ever had, so fresh & served in a delicious cream sauce.
Main was a huge cheese burger with bacon sliced gherkin & homemade tomato relish. Just scrumptious.
Would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant.

The ambience of the restaurant would be greatly improved if the lighting was more subdued in the evening. There were candles on the tables but unfortunately these were not lit. Service was slow at times. The menu was quite varied although disappointingly lacked a grilled fish option as a main.

Delightfully informal, intimate and interactive, Noel Corston has struck on a winning recipe after many years refining his trade in Woolacombe. Sitting around a kitchen counter, diners have a ring-side seat to watch Noel's meticulous preparations, combined with a commentary on the inspirations behind each dish.
Fiercely proud of fabulous North Devon produce, he fashions a beautiful sequence of irresistible morsels, pairing ingredients such as lamb and samphire, strawberries and fennel, rhubarb and hibiscus to stunning effect. Hints of Mexico are there too thanks to the influence of Nora, who hosts us with charm and efficiency to ensure the evening passes with perfect smoothness.
This place is a gem and must be on the agenda of all food lovers visiting North Devon.

Situated within a walled garden on a National Trust site at Baggy Point in North Devon. Sandleigh consists of a Tea Room, Allotment Garden and Interiors shop, The Oyster Catcher.
I know we were out of season but it was a glorious sunny day in half term. It’s a lovely little place, more room outside than in, in pretty Gardens. However, the food was mediocre. There were 8 of us , 3 of whom had the cream tea. there was a very long wait and the drinks were served first and then quarter of an hour later the scones arrived but we had already drunk the tea. We then had to wait another ten minutes at least, for the sandwiches and then another long wait for the hot food. The had run out of bread so our order had to be changed. I know they were short staffed and it was out of season but it was very disjointed service. Scones were lovely but pasties were mediocre. It was ok but expensive for poor service.

Part of the Woolacombe Bay Hotel
HI we had a few meals in this place over a week and the staff could not do enough to help you.On one evening they cooked a different meal for my daughter that was not on the menu, she is 11 and only likes plain pasta. The place is spotless, the staff are very nice and friendly, the food is excellent. With drinks it was just over a £100 for the four of us.

CAF'E / RESTAURANT, Serving Breakfasts , Lunches, Light Snack's , Cream tea's and Evening Meals served all day every day,Catering for Families to surfers. Child friendly, Group bookings available.
We’ve been here a few times over the years. It used to be a classic ‘greasy spoon’ but has been refurbished in recent years. It was better before! Our visit last week was a bit disappointing. We only had classic fry up fayre but it was all a bit greasy and not particularly hot.
Bang average!
