Enjoy Yolo County's best burgers, craft beers, and cocktails in the era-1869 Capital Hotel, located at 1st & Main in beautiful and historic downtown Woodland.
I don't eat red meat, so I worry when I go into a place with burgers. Will I be the weird kid who just eats condiments? Not here! In addition to apps and salads and wicked desserts, you can do beef or Turkey patties, chicken breast, portabello mushroom or crabcakes. There's also a nice selection of breads, including gluten free, and a full bar. Believe me, I was tempted to have a milkshake with something alcoholic in it and some onion rings. Next time. We had 6 people, we waited 30 minutes on a Saturday night, totally worth it. Our server Reggie was perfection as well. Great wait staff and plenty of free parking on the street.

I go to Dutch Brothers often. Their coffee does not have high acidity. It's smooth and flavorful. Their specialty drinks you will not find anywhere else! They are unique and yummy! They employees are upbeat, positive, and love to hear about your day or weekend! Dutch Brothers is a blessing to the community as they raise $$ to help individuals within our town. They are truly a wonderful company and would HIGHLY recommend them!

We were strolling through the historic downtown and almost walked by the Cookie Company. The doorway is next to a staircase to a basement storefront currently vacant. There are two tables with chairs inside, and an iron bench in front of the stairs.
After surveying the selection and the day-old packages, I chose a single cookie to share. I've never had a cookie there that wasn't delicious, (even the day-old ones). If you choose an almond teacake, be prepared to be covered in powdered sugar! It was like being a kid again.

Kitchen428 Restaurant & Mojo's Lounge are Woodland's premier dining and gathering spots for lunch, dinner, special events, banquets & cocktails. Located on the First Floor of the Jackson Building (Former home of Morrison's Upstairs) Kitchen428 Restaurant specializes in fresh, local and seasonal ingredients in both the creative dishes from the kitchen and in our hand crafted cocktails just next door in Mojo's Lounge. Our menu ranges from Steaks & Filets, fresh Fish & Seafood, Unique Dishes, Gluten Free Options to Vegan Friendly!
We visited 428 twice while in Woodland, both times for dinner.
The food was well prepared and diverse. Meats were properly grilled and well portioned.
My wife is gluten free, this restaurant is very careful above that allergy. Her tagine was fabulous!
The wine list is a great local list with good pricing.
The first night Chris’ service was great. Second night, different server team was good
I would rate 428 a 4&1/2 if that was available.

The bakery is known for their cakes. However, they do make good bread (rolls) and donuts. Although, there is nothing I can compare it to since they are the only donut shop in town.
Donuts are standard and nothing extra special. They do make croissants and cookies.
For all you AMEX people = they no longer take it. They changed credit card machines.

We were there for Taco Tuesdays, place was packed and the food was just delicious. Lots of great items to choose from the fajitas, tacos, burritos were outstanding. Our favourite was the Casa Carnitas, simply divine. Loved eating outside on the verandah. We will be back!

Great backdrop for a pub. This place use to be a bank. The safe is the whiskey room and very cool.
I ate the corned beef and cabbage with house made mustard. I couldn't have gotten better from Dublin. Add their wide variety of drafts and this place is a homerun.

Welcome to Morgan’s On Main, in many ways a restaurant at the center of Yolo County; in location, cuisine and spirit. With service that evokes the warmth of home and food that rewards the busiest of days and the grandest of celebrations, our goal is simple. Each visit is more than a meal, it’s an experience. Whether it be our signature steaks, famous chicken and waffles or an artful appetizer, each experience is crafted for the best in comfort and memories. We welcome you to share with us in the bounty of Woodland's rich agricultural history and culinary heritage. Your table is set and ready for you to enjoy.
A special event calls for a special dinner. We took a couple on their wedding eve to Morgan's. Reservations are a good idea! We had one so were seated immediately. The wine list is sufficient and well priced. We shared a bottle and ordered the Brussel sprouts app - Torched Brussel Sprouts with Bacon. They were good but undercooked a bit.
Entrees fared much better. The ladies had the Grilled Portabella Stack - an amazing use of eggplant with lots of tasty bits in it. The actual portabella mushroom was a bit skimpy, though. The gents had the airline chicken - half a breast and a wing! It was delicious, as were the accompanying mushroom risotto and braised greens. There was lots of sharing and 4 very happy people.
The service was excellent with several wait staff clearing tables, filling water, etc. A great restaurant to go back to!

Mojo's Lounge and Kitchen428 Restaurant are connected through a doorway, and share the same kitchen with the same great food. The lounge includes a bar and is more casual. We have eaten here many times, both as a couple and as a large group with extended family, and we have never been disappointed. This time I had a black bean vegan burger with a salad of mixed greens and tomatoes with a citrus vinaigrette, additional (shared) sides of garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, a pot of hot peppermint tea, and a mud pie for dessert.

Visited solo for lunch a couple weeks before this but should have gone sooner. The lady who served me said the menu is based on the popular El Ohio on the other side of town, who many people, and i love.
Took a friend back a couple times for lunch and dinner, and had different items depending on my appetite.
Great both times. Will be back!
