Award-winning chef/owner Dino Grossi and his family opened Volare Ristorante in the Fall of 2004. Located in the heart of the new downtown Wixom city center, this restaurant features a dramatic interior rich in texture and color. The philosophy is simple: use the best ingredients as simply as possible and serve them with joy and passion. As a Tuscan cooks in Chianti, as a Neapolitan cooks on the Amalfi coast, as a Sicilian cooks in Palermo, at Volare we cook as an Italian might, in the truest sense. We import pasta, Parmigiano Reggiano, balsamic vinegar, sea salt and Prosciutto San Daniele because they are so distinct and virtually indispensable to the creation of a great Italian meal. We fervently believe in the inherent quality, freshness and greatness of our regions' ingredients, purchased from predominantly organic, farmers and friends. Our cheeses come from all over Italy. Our wine list is predominantly Italian, in celebration of the quality and diversity of Italian grape varietals and vinification. Volare Ristorante offers a memorable dining experience of impeccable Italian cuisine, and we have assembled a passionate team that possesses a combination of talent and experience. Volare is our interpretation of the best we have come to know in the Italian culture of family where it is best and most often celebrated, at the dinner table.
I, personally didn't care for Volare's. Their menu was quite limited for an Italian restaurant and portion sizes were small for what they charged. Just not my cup of tea,

The cake we purchased was probably the most beautifully decorated cake we've ever gotten. The cake itself was good, not great. We bought it with ganache which was also good. That being said, I am still on the lookout for a delicious cake, both inside and out.
If we were reviewing just the cake part, we'd give it an average. The beautiful decoration takes it up to very good.

We stopped here after our meetings based on the reviews we read. The place is nicely, uniquely decorated. Cozy booths and tables available for sitting. We were seated right away. The food was very good. I have Chicken salad and the chicken pot pie soup. Both were very good. My co-worker has the Scottish salmon and he thought it was very good. I also tried the vanilla vodka and cranberry drink, it was nice and refreshing. If we are in the area again, I would eat here again.

This place was recommended by a friend and lived up to the recommendation. The owner herself is there to take your order, which she remembers after a couple of visits. The food and drinks are both totally delicious!

I had breakfast there early this morning. It was my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very trendy with a 10 foot glass enclosed gas fireplace and all sorts of tables and benches in various configurations. There is also a deli counter in back for carry out.
My server was Luis and he was excellent. I had the Hamtramck eggs Benedict with homemade sausage on a sourdough roll that was toasted. You could not improve upon it. The presentation value was five-star.
The room was light and airy with plenty of sunlight streaming through the windows. I thought the food was reasonably priced for the value and coupled with the excellent service, I would definitely give toasted oak five star rating and will return. My compliments to the staff!

I love Culver's! This is a great place to eat when you are in a hurry and want great tasting food. As friend has told me, I am all about the taste. Great food, great service, will come back.

The food is usually good except for the last time I dined in, there was a huge strand of hair in my soup. It was pretty obvious, I'm not sure how the waitstaff didn't find it. Food and service are still great, this last experience...MoreHello. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to give us your feedback. We apologize for your dining experience not meeting your expectations. We are taking your concerns into deep consideration and will ensure these things will not happen again.

We enjoyed lunch at Al Maidah. Fresh bread and garlic is provided while you wait for your meal to arrive. Soup or a salad comes with your lunch. The quality of their chicken, rice and fattoush salad was excellent. Nice additional benefit - the prices are very reasonable. Helpful Hint: There is a lot of parking in the back in addition to the few spots out front.

I've been here multiple times on different days of the week since it opened and it's typically an average experience. Nothing really stands out that makes me want to head back in a hurry. Location is a big plus as it's right down the street from where I live. Otherwise, I wouldn't come here even as infrequently as I do now.
The food is good, service is fine, and the pricing is OK too. Never had longer than a five minute wait which could be seen as both good and bad I guess. Good since you get seated right away, but bad because that means people aren't beating the door down to eat here.
It does have a nice outdoor seating area!
