The Hollybush Witney. Independently owned and run by 2 local chaps who both share a passion for good food, real beer and fantastic service.
Fantastic 1st visit to the Hollybush on the recommendation of friends and not disappointed. Really friendly staff and great service from Jennifer. Excellent menu with plenty of choice for all of us, really impressed by the falafel and mussels for starters and the steak was cooked to perfection. Also great range of cocktails....dark and stormy and fall down the stairs were particularly impressive. Many thanks and will visit again next time we're down. Cheers

After being hesitant to sit down for a meal here due to previous management, O decided to have dinner at The George and Dragon.
And I was extremely impressed with the food, and service. The variety of the menu could be extended, but I understand that the menu is changed completely on a regular basis. That fact was very much appreciated

A small but well run place with jen keeping a firm hand on the tiller. I loved the food and my partner who had spent several years in the far east thought it was good Chinese food.

Originally built in the 1700's the Horseshoes is one of Witney's Oldest pubs. Still boasting original beams, fireplaces and solid wood floors. The Shoes remains a comfortable, warm & welcoming establishment for everyone to enjoy!
First time in the Three Horseshoes and it won't be the last. An excellent, well run pub with restaurant area that manages to successfully combine being a pub where you can meet friends for a chat & just have a drink or dine comfortably in a restaurant or bar environment. It is well kept, has a smart refubishment that has retained the feel of an old inn with modern comforts. I'd describe it as a 'grown ups pub' where friends can meet in a comfortable environment. The food was top notch, all appeared to be home made and fresh. Service was friendly, welcoming and efficient. This is now the first choice for a beer or meal in Witney.

Open all day, serving a delicious menu of classic French dishes; from steak frites and boeuf bourguignon to a selection of croques and baguettes.
Needed a quick bite to eat after showing friends around Cotswolds. CAFE ROUGE was a name they knew (normal coffee shops were ignored as they wanted more than a warmed up Sandwich or muffin) so we went for that. Everyone agreed it was the correct...MoreThank you for taking the time to feedback after your visit and look forward to seeing you again soon. Merci

If you were a casual visitor, you could mistake this place for the hippest, busiest place in Witney. It is difficult to get seated without booking.
The food is inconsistent. Sometimes good but many times sub-par. Only the fact that every other Indian restaurant in Witney is pretty bad allows it to float to the top.
I have been where so much Tamarind was contained in the curry it was inedible. Tikka massala with so much red dye it glowed. Unbalanced passanda.
However, it is probably going to be the top Witney curry house for some time to come and most of the time meals are good.

FAT LIL'S Bar & Grill is a family owned and run Bar and Restaurant. We pride ourselves on super friendly service, great atmosphere and the best American and Mexican food in the region. All of our Burgers, Burritos, Pizza and much more are made fresh to order and we buy all our ingredients as locally as possible. The menu is based on the best meals we've had on trips up and down the U.S. And we hope you'll love it as much as we do. Dinner, Liquor, Rock N Roll.
Although you'll have to walk a little bit out of Witney town centre to get to Fat Lil's, it's definitely definitely worth it!
We went here for lunch last weekend after Reading great things on TripAdvisor and it absolutely lived up to the billing. We were the first ones in at lunchtime but the place soon filled up after us - and for good reason. The burger was massive but tasty and the hot dog and chili chips were brilliant too.
The chefs are clearly multi-talented as you can have everything from fajitas to burritos to burgers to pizzas and the front of house man was really friendly too. We said we'd probably be back in four weeks - I think we can upgrade that to 'definitely' now.
Highly recommended.

A local country pub with a fine selection of draught beers, bottled craft ales, wines, fizz & spirits. We pour a beautiful pint and run a lovely bar snack menu alongside. The restaurant is newly furnished to give a clean, warm, country house feel. With a small yet fulfilling seasonal menu to accompany the new dining room, we feel it's the perfect place for all occasions. Whether it be a business lunch, romantic meal for two, A family occasion or just a bite to eat with friends.
Absolutely amazing food! Couldn't fault in any way. All freshly cooked to order and delicious flavours you can't resist huge compliments to the chefs as they do an amazing job.
Also, grab a copy of the head chefs cook book, a huge variety of different dishes you can try yourself at home. Would highly recommend!!!

Visited Witney and was recommended by my brother who lives locally to visit this cafe. We were not disappointed. We had chicken salad and a Tuna melt which were tasty and freshly prepared. They even accommodated us sharing with our daughter by splitting food. To cap it all they threw in a surprise piece of Millionaire shortbread - that was a wow for me !
