Cal's has been around since I was a teenager! It is a staple in town with a fryer, a grill and all of the classic DQ ice cream treats that are so popular. You can find a wide variety of friends and neighbors there, both young and old. The interior is dated, although there has been a bit of recent refreshing. Walk up window from the parking lot, call-in service for pickup, and the inside restaurant make it convenient. Community board to the left of the serving counter informs about what is going on in town and the surrounding area. A Smalltown Classic!

We ate at El Tapatio for the first time at dinner time. We immediately noticed the cute decor.
The prices are excellent and portions are generous. I had a huge mango margarita for $5.99. The main course I chose was $7.99 and was a chalupa, beef burrito and taco.
Careful the beans are spicy!
We ended the evening with a fried ice cream dessert for $3.99 which was big enough to share.
We enjoyed our meal and will return the next time we are in the area.

Don't drive by this one! We had an unexpected stop in Winner and a local told us about Shirley's. Wow. I had the best Turkey club sandwich and potato salad side EVER. It was made with REAL Turkey, not processed Turkey. And the bread roll was a seasoned roll that I wish I could find back home. I doubt I will order another Turkey club again without comparing it to Shirley's. My hub had a hamburger and was practically weeping it was so good. All the food tasted like someone JUST made it. And everyone was so friendly! Before we left, the staff was giving away chocolate cake...because that is what they do on Thursday! It was a wonderful place filled with good food and good people.

We had cheese and supreme, liked them both. We would get it again. We pre-ordered and took it back to the hotel. They were the only place open for Christmas but that does not mean we settled.

We had a very good breakfast here. Hashbrowns, hot cakes, and sausage biscuits--yum! I have to say, I am always surprised when fast food turns out well.

Very happy with my meal. Nice small choice of craft beer on tap. Happy hour 4-7. Menu attached. I had pastrami over grits special. Smoked pastrami was good and tender. Prices, reasonable. My special was $16, I thought a little high. Nice owner.

I was thru Winner recently with a group of 7 friends. We were looking for a place to have lunch and this place was recommended to us by some local citizens. This is a great local restaurant. The service and food were good. The wait staff was friendly. I had a fish sandwich and sweet potato fries. The rest of my group was happy with the food.

The Wild West Steakhouse and Saloon is now the West River Tap. The West River Tap has the best food and bar in Winner.

Stopped in for a quick lunch on my way through the town. Dining area was clean, service people were friendly and quick to get me back on the road again but I didn't feel rushed at all. Typical Subway Fresh fast food.

When your in the area hunting, this is one of the safest places to eat. The staff is very good and works hard. I have called in an order and it was ready as expected.
The pizza buffet is a good value ($5.99) and is anytime.
