Windham is a town in Greene County, New York, United States. The population was 1,703 at the 2010 census. The town was probably named for the town or county of Windham, Connecticut, as many of its earliest settlers came from that state as well as other parts of New England. We are glad you found us on the web and would love for you to come visit us in The Great Northern Catskill Mountains! We opened The Catskill Mountain Country Store in 1994. We started in the town of Windham, NY with a small store where we sold local crafts, fresh produce, gourmet foods and baked goods made from Pop Pop Siegfried's recipes (Natasha's Great Grandpop). We purchased the Windham Garden Center in 1995 and added our own garden center, looking zoo and walking paths. Then in 2000 we built an addition for our restaurant. We have been serving the best breakfast and lunch in New York, maybe...The USA since then! But wait, there is more. IT IS OFFICIAL!!!! We are open in Tannersville, NY. Stop by at our second location for Breakfast or Lunch, or buy a great gift. Try our homemade, jams, jellies, breads, pies, sodas and the list goes on! Tannersville has a special secret...An old fashion ice cream counter. Both locations are similar, but have their own unique charm. Our entire family is excited to be in two amazing communities in the Catskills! We will be bringing to Tannersville what we have been doing successfully in Windham, for the last twenty years! This has been a wonderful journey shared by our three children, 16 year old Sydney, 15 year old Augustus and 11 year old Victoria. Come visit and share a piece of the country that we call home!
Have been on several occasions. Breakfast is the best in town with toast slices like Texans do it. Good portions Fresh food Small juices Great store Tip: If you want to see the animals, don't wear good shoes and live animals produce very live smells....MoreThanks for coming in and enjoying our restaurant, store and rescue looking zoo. We appreciate you taking the time to review us See you next time Drew

Young girls were running the restaurant seemed like I might have interrupted their bull sessions as 2 of the three seemed annoyed they had to make a lunch sandwich at 2pm, hmmmn,
guess lunch must have a short window. The girl who did make my sandwich made a good sandwich , good quality food.
Would go back maybe they had big dates that night.

We wanted a quick breakfast before we were traveling. Walking into the bakery, your mouth starts to water as you look at the glass cases filled with cakes, cookies and pastries. We ordered a raspberry horn, chocolate horn, croissant, chocolate danish and a cheese danish. They have a small inside sitting area which was very cozy where we ate and also ordered a capucinno, latte and various types of tea. The woman taking our order was friendly and delivered our pastries and drinks promptly. Everyone enjoyed their selection and if they were served warmed, it would have been perfect. By the time we finished eating, the basket of croissants was almost gone so I recommend stopping by early in the day.

Full Service Restaurant and Bar. Steaks, Chicken, Ribs, homemade Soups, Salads, Ice Cream and much more. Indoor and Outdoor Dining. Seafood Shack in the Summer. Firepit, outdoor games, Year round live music.
We had dinner in this restaurant after the winter hike. The portions are plentiful and delicious. I had marinated half chicken and it was juicy and very tasty. The coleslaw was excellent, though the vegetables of the day did not have much taste. Corn bread was delicious. After the meal I did not have space for dessert. Our waitress was great, very friendly and helpful. Nice, casual and relaxing place for dinner with friends!

Bistro Brie & Bordeaux is a casual French County resturant in the heart of the Catskills, offering classic French classics and modern new favorites. During the Christmas Holidays we are open every night and President's week we are open additinal hours. We are open for Valentine's Day, The 4th of July and Wednesday-Sunday during July and August.
Everything on the menu is just delicious. Our favorites are the Magret of Duck, Escargots, Rack of Lamb and Veal Scaloppini, and that wonderful bread that one cannot have enough of. Accompany it with the Montepulciano! And the quality of the food is consistent - we are regulars at this place....

Eating at Michael's Diner is tradition for us when we vacation in Windham. The staff is friendly, the food is a great value, (excellent diner quality/reasonably priced), and if you like generous portions you're in luck. Breakfast is a must try w/many options including seasonal pumpkin pancakes. Yum! If you go for lunch give the Fish & Chips a try or any of the burger options. Very casual ambience, note that it's cash payment only, but there's an ATM down the street. Enjoy!

We are now fans of Ze Windham Wine Bar. It is SO charming, inviting, sweet, and filled with little, beautifully decorated spaces to share wine, beer, sweets and snacks with friends. Everyone is so friendly here, the small bar area encourages you to chat with strangers until you are no longer strangers, the attention to detail in the main area (I'd call it the salon) is wonderful, the selection of wines, beers and ciders is good and well priced, and the presentation of tapas-sized dishes, complemented by home grown herbs, is just stunning. Come while away a few hours in this adorable setting.

Bread was good, olive oil ... poor quality to dip. Baked clams appetizer... chewy and small. Eggplant parmigiana... mushy not crispy and hardly any red sauce. What's that all about. The red sauce that did accompany the penne was too salty. Veal marsala .. my hubby said was okay. Not sure what the high ratings are all about! Will not return.
