Stopped in as our long time favorite ice cream place in the area is now closed. It did not disappoint! The serving sizes are HUGE! Both flavors we ordered were delicious. The friendly owners were present, working on new flavors which was interesting.

Great coffee and great service.
Freindly service and a very clean place to eat in.
I like the way the place was very clean and the staff were very interested in my order and in making sure I chose the right deal to suit my needs.

This place is at the north end of Central Street, a bit beyond downtown Winchendon. If you didn't know it was there, you'd likely not notice it, and that would be unfortunate.
I had an omelet that was very good. The menu includes French toast, pancakes and Belgian waffles. For lunch, they offer the usual burger options plus Reubens, a sausage sandwich, tuna or chicken melt, BLT, and hot dogs. They also have a Frito pie that I'll have to try on my next visit.
Service was attentive without being overbearing. Pricing was appropriate.
Parking is on street, but when I was there, it wasn't a problem. I parked across the street and used the crosswalk.
I recommend this little gem in Winchendon. I'll be back for lunch and that Frito pie.

Last review I wrote was for a wonderful experience here. Well hate to say it but my next experience was the exact opposite. Food was HORRIBLE.. Fish and chips were sub par. Chicken cesar salad was like eating shoe leather. Very disapointed. Cooks seem to be very inconsistent. It's too bad.

I've lived in Winchendon for about 15 years. This was always my go-to place for pizza + subs. They have never been particularly friendly. It was also the first time I ever saw a tip jar on the counter at a PIZZA place! There prices now are very high. Every time I buy a steak sub, they NIBBLE on it while they cook it. REALLY...the board of health should go in and order a steak sub + watch. Then they expect you to tip THEM for eating YOUR food? Good luck...apparently C&S is short for CHEW & SWALLOW YOUR food!!!!!!!!!!

We were in Winchendon to visit relative and were going to have breakfast some place else, but it turned out to be closed on Wednesday. On our way home we spotted this place and thought we would give it a try. It was mid-morning so there was no problem with getting in and seated. There really is an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch with a number of specials. My wife had a wonderful omelet with spinach, peppers, onions, etc. Everything was fresh and the omelet was perfectly cooked. I had the special pancake, apple, bacon and sharp cheddar. The pancake was plate sized and very tasty. We had sides of bacon and sausage patty--both were excellent and oversized. All in all, this as a much better than average breakfast and I would be tempted to stop for lunch if I were in the area. Nice folks, good food.

Cleanest subway around with the freshest of breads, meats and veggies. The staff has been there for years, they are efficient, friendly, and patient. Located on Central St. In Winchendon, MA, it is a busy Subway for good reason.

The Carriage House Restaurant in Winchendon, MA is well known to the local area. They have quite a variety on their menu, from Italian cuisine to seafood and steak, and super specials. Family's of all ages enjoy a nice quiet environment. As of late, their draft beers are impressive, and, less expensive than some restaurant chains. They offer Keno, and have a nice bar and high top table area.
Head North on route 140, heading toward Winchendon, they are about 20 minutes from Gardner, .MA.
You won't be disappointed- definitely quality food.

We stopped by here on our way to Vermont. This is what you call a “hidden jewel”.
The service was friendly and quick, food was really good tasting, and the prices weren’t bad.
We had wraps and burgers and everyone loved it.
The portions were bigger than your normal pizza joint, so come with an appetite.
I recommend this place if you’re in the area.

The quality of the seafood was quite good here, for someone who was seriously sad that Kimball's was closed for the season. However, despite the fact that some of the meals were nice big portions (like we expect at Kimball's), some of them were not. I ordered the fried sea scallops and ended up with 10 total scallops on my plate. Not much of a dinner. The person next to me ordered a special with calamari, bay scallops, and fried fish and got a heaping mountain of food that they couldn't possibly finish. The food was really good but some work should be done to make servings more consistent here, particularly when the scallop plate cost more than the special in question.
