Nellys is the down home feel good restuarant. Sign our ceiling or write on our marker boards. Visit with locals or travelers on Rt. 66! Best darn Pulled Pork, Hand Pressed 100% Angus Burgers, Fresh Cut French Fries, and Fresh Cut Lightly Breaded Onion Rings!
Extensive menu of American bar food. ( burgers, hot dogs, pull pork, and fried shrimp, & various fries- cheese, parmesan et al..) Menu is on the wall. Very casual place with a decor you would expect for Rt 66 and the food turn around time was reasonably quick. Hard to find open spots on the wall, but you can leave your mark on the wall or ceiling. (Ask for the markers behind the counter.) It was perfect for a family visit with kids.

I've been here several times over several years. Their ice cream is always good and fresh and they're always busy but quick. Their little shack is getting a bit crowded now that they've expanded the menu, but what I go for is ice cream. I like to pop in for dessert after dinner at Haydens up the street. The girls are friendly, helpful, and quick and the place is always clean and fresh inside and out.

Was looking forward to this place..cute fun decor and 50s style drive in diner. The food on the other hand was not great. Hot dogs arent all beef they are white, fries under done & quite expensive for family of 3. The wait for food was work Monday night at 7. Also I saw the woman cool shake g her head and rolling eyes when I asked why the wait was so long. Also they told me no frys came with oids meal so I ordered a large to share and fries were in kids meals. Wont be back again

Right off interstate by gas station, girls were pleasant and quick. Blizzard was great as usual. Others got hot food to go and it was good.

Stopped here the other night for dinner after working in Coal City on damaged houses. I had the all-you-can-eat wings on Tuesday night specials. I could not eat more than four wings because of their size. The baked potato was also very good.
The next night I had the Montecristo sandwich and it was also very good. That was the first Montecristo sandwich that I never had.

Though the pub was gearing up for a motorcycle poker run for charity that afternoon, they were very friendly to us .... 3 women bicyclists.
We bicycled 13 miles south of Joliet on the Wauponsee trail and rewarded ourselves with a stop in Symerton in the middle of no where. It was the perfect turn-around distance. The pub was easy to find . . . about 100 yards west of the trail.... and the only business in town.
We were happy to sit outside on the "patio" at the rustic tables under colorful umbrellas. This is not a fancy place, but it was great for us. Everything inside looked clean and welcoming. The outside area has seen many parties.
I ordered a hamburger to be safe and was rewarded with a big fat juicy handmade patty on a nice bun with all the fixings. Tasty! My friend ordered a chicken sandwich which turned out to be shredded chicken and she pronounced it delicious. None of us could finish the large portions.
We put our feet up and rested for more than an hour while drinking cold cokes and beer. Every one of the workers, busy with setting up for their event, was friendly to us. It was a perfect afternoon.
Make this a stop on your hike or bike trip on the Wauponsee Trail. it's just south of Midewin national Preserve.

We were taken to this 'gem' by some local friends.
Who would have thunk that a really good Asian restaurant would be in a rural midwest country farm town. Family owned and operated.
Every portion was extremely good. Soup to Sushi..Terrific
We stopped at 7:15p and it was packed with hungry customers.
Our friends said the eat here every Friday evening....We see why they do! We would love to go back soon.

Awesome place for crafts and home decor. Good spice and kitchen utensil area and some good local wines. The staff is always nice and helpful.
