This is the pub in the General Denver Hotel which you have listed as a B&B. The pub does serve breakfast, but only to guests. It's main attraction is for Sunday brunch, but they also have a crowd in the evening for dinner most nights of the week, except Monday when it is closed.
We so wanted to like this place: a thriving restaurant in an old, restored downtown hotel. When things went well, it met expectations. When they didn't, they really didn't.
The way the staff interacts with customers is interesting. The person who takes your order may not be the one who delivers your food. And the person who asks if your meal is satisfactory might be yet another person. Good concept in theory but susceptible to shortcomings.
My juicy, meaty burger was very good and, for an extra $2, adding an extra patty made it quite the bargain. The choice of sides – I went with a good-sized salad with house balsamic dressing – is extensive.
So far, so good. But the skewer of grilled shrimp on my wife's spinach salad was woefully undercooked. We hailed a passing staffer, who immediately took the shrimp back to the kitchen to rectify the issue. Minutes went by, the spinach salad was half eaten and the shrimp remained in the kitchen. We hailed the staffer again, interrupting a conversation he was having with someone at the bar. A minute or so later, out came the shrimp, and, remarkably, one was still half raw.
Meanwhile:
1: a woman at an adjacent table left most of her fish sandwich untouched because it was so undercooked.
2: when our bill arrived, it included the price of a light beer. My wife had water; I had iced tea.
Good hits. Serious misses. Which is why I gave the restaurant three stars instead of two. But I'm not sure why we would return.

We stopped here for breakfast before a cross country meet at a Wilmington College. The donuts were soft and fresh! Such great varieties! Cinnamon rolls came with white, cream cheese and maple icing. My daughter had a custard filled, chocolate iced and the custard was chocolate flavored. There were long johns with cream filling, fritters, jelly filled donut holes too. I suspect they sell out fast based on the steady stream of people coming in.
They only take cash or checks, but have an ATM inside.

This coffee shop serves good coffee and coffee drinks. The people are very nice and the ambiance is relaxing. I wish they had some outdoor seating as well, but overall it is a good place to go for coffee with friends or family or to do some work. There is even a fireplace.

A cozy old-school place in downtown Wilmington, this is primarily an Italian restaurant, looking at the menu I didn't see many other types of Mediterranean dishes. We had a large party of 8 and they seated us right away and served us quickly. I had the Frutti de Mare, which was seafood pasta in a very spicy red sauce, and it was GREAT, so tasty that I asked for more bread to sop up the last of that delicious sauce. Everyone in our party was very impressed with their meals. It's a bit pricy, but the portions are very good and, as I said, delicious.

Stopped in with my Son to grab a quick bite. It was not particularly busy inside or out. There were maybe two other tables being used. That being said, there was only one table I could use because the rest were dirty. We were there for about 30 minutes and no one bothered to clean even a single table while we were there. They did get my son's order wrong and took a bit of time to fix it. However, everyone was very friendly.

While out exploring Wilmington, I stumbled across this little gem away from the beaten path. Although it doesn't look like much from the road, this little mom and pop burger joint has delicious food and friendly service. The fried pickle spears were the best I've ever had, the burger was a little greasy but quality. Heads up: they don't take credit cards, so bring some cash!

We cater Jens deli a lot at my work. They have the most amazing BLT and serve a pickle on the side. Their potato salad is also the best I've had. Everything I have tried at this restaurant has been amazing. I've never been to the location or had the coffee shop, but I recommend this place.

Fiesta Veracruz is our go to place when we feel like Mexican cuisine. We are always welcomed with smiles, and servers are friendly and attentive. They keep the drinks filled and baskets of corn chips are replaced with full ones almost as soon as you eat the last chip. The food is served piping hot, with generous portions. Everything we have tried has been flavorful and seasoned well.. but not too spicy. You can request for them to spice up your dishes and they happily oblige. The decor is bright and inviting and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. We feel welcomed and appreciated, it's like our home away from home. If you are in the area, and want Mexican food..Fiesta Veracruz is the place to be!

In addition to being the highest quality meats shop and deli in town. Sams is also a great little breakfeast and lunch spot with reasonably priced sandwhiches and specialties. It has a large beverage selection an an expecially good ham egg and cheese on crosiant I got on my most recent visit. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Can't say enough good about Sams.

The fajita taco salad was Fabulous.
But...our server had no personality. When he asked how everything was, I started telling him that it was fantastic, but he turned & walked away as I was telling him, like he could have cared less.
Now this does not mean that I wouldn't eat there again, because if I lived here I would be a regular patron.
Nice decor. Our waiter was probably having an off day.
It's the little things that make a great place.
