My wife and I recently had the privilege to eat here a few nights ago. What a wonderful place! The service was excellent, and the oysters and atmosphere were just like I remembered from the last time I dined here, over 25 years ago. Nothing had changed, and that is a good thing! The prices may seem a little high to some, but I thought the prices were well within reason. They have a simple, but delicious menu. We had steamed oysters and steamed scallops. We will be back, but we won't wait 25 years!!!

We stopped here for a late lunch on a Saturday. The place was full but the staff handled the crowd efficiently and in a friendly manner. They even happily accommodated a request for fries with no salt added. It was clean and bright-a very pleasant stop if you need a quick bite on your way through Williamston.

Family of 11 met for early supper on a Saturday..able to sit in separate dining room, enjoyed very good southern country buffet with nice salad bar..fried chicken and fish, bbq, and bbq chicken, lots of vegetables..I have ordered from menu and been pleased but when you see the buffet,it is hard to pass up..only complaint is the restaurant is dark..not sure if lighting issue or the dark walls..

Red Heron Cafe (Downtown Williamston) is a place to relax and unwind after a busy day at work. Serving the best in food, wine, drinks, and providing the best in entertainment! Come find out why we're "The Talk of the Town"!
We always stop at this restaurant on our way home from the beach because it is really that good. You can tell the owners really put a lot of thought about what goes on the menu. Im sure all is good but i definitely recommend the wings

Located next to Holiday Inn Express and Martin Agricultural Center so very convenient when attending horse shows. Staff always helpful. Good salad bar and beef entrees. Wait times can become long, seating and kitchen capacity limited. Thanks for the review! Be sure to come back and see us again soon.

I had dinner here with a colleague. Although I have learned not to expect too much from these types of establishments, this place did not meet my already low expectations. I can live with the styrofoam take away dinnerware, the plastic knives and forks if the food is good but my pulled pork was dry and the fried cornbread stick was too greasy. The highlight of my meal was the French fries! The cashier can't count, my meal came up to $10.14 and as i gave her a $20 bill i said i may have some change. Too late, she had already punch it in. So when i gave her a dime and a nickel she looked perplexed and pulled out a calculator to return me my change, wow!

The best biscuits at any fast food place. Always baked perfectly. They Are So mouth Watering. Their gravy and biscuits is always my breakfast choice with a cheddar bowl biscuit as my 'snack'..

So many restaurants that call themselves "local eateries" are trying to hard to keep up with what is going on in the food world. That is all great and good, but they are forgetting the roots of the South by doing it.... Here at Griffin's.. you find country style, old fashioned, hearty, homey..... stick to your ribs food. They do daily specials and have a simple menu. And don't take simple to mean a bad thing. I and my boyfriend have been missing places that made food like we grew up with... and this is the place. The wait staff is seasoned.... so no nasty attitudes... you feel at home as soon as you walk in. The menu is simple.... we had fried pork tenderloin, black eyed peas, boiled potatoes.... hamburger steak (homemade, not frozen) with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and... their own pickled beets. They have lots to choose from.... including BBQ, shirmp and fish......
The place was packed for lunch and I can see why.... reasonably priced, home cooked, quick food and friendly service!

Went here for dinner with several friends last weekend. It was beyond terrible. The green beans were definitely from a can and the potatoes from a box. I don't know how you can have a restaurant named "Shamrock" and serve boxed mashed potatoes. The grilled chicken was entirely bland. Everything else was overly salted or greasy. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

This is a good place for a buffet lunch. They have a good selection in the salad bar and the pizza is good. One of the reviews complained of not having a vegetarian pizza. They will fix you one if you request it. We have friends who are vegetarian and they were happy to fix them one. They also have other Italian dishes and good subs if you order from the menu. We eat there quite often but I had just never written a review until now. We have never been disappointed.
