I noticed several people waiting for takeaways whislt I dined in. They all waited a very long time with many becoming irate as they had already paid and cannot walk out.
I heard the counter girl offering apologies repeatedly.
We waited a long time too for two noodle dishes.
It tasted less flavoursome compared to previously. There is also inconsistency in the portion size, as one plate was huge, mwhilst the other same dish was half the size. Very bad value for the customer having the smaller plate!!
Service was dismal, tables dirty, environment unpleasantly filthy, scum on floor and walls, even chairs are slimy.
If you don't mind a slghtly stained pants from sitting down, cheap bite just to fill your hunger, then come in, order, eat and leave.

Great food, excellent service, friendly staff, perfectly cooked vegetables. Loved the duck special with the caramelised cabbage in pastry!! My mother had fish of the day which was perfectly cooked.
No room for dessert but prices very reasonable.
Make sure you book. Very popular.
Look forward to returning!!

Mainly had takeaways from here, but had a few dine ins, too. Noticed a few weeks ago the takeaway standard was less than it usually was. Then tonight we visited the restaurant to dine in. The place is pretty popular and had about fifty guests. One of the dishes we ordered had been forgotten and we had to remind the waiter to bring it. By the time it came, the other two dishes had gone cold. But it would've been better if we hadn't. The quality and taste of the three dishes we had ordered was of a far lesser standard than we expected. If you are thirsty you can take your own wine, or you can choose from a large selection of soft drinks. Good for the kids. The pricing is quite good. Fifty seven dollars for three dishes and two cans of Lychee drink. But that won't be enough to entice us back for a long, long time. And we're not going to risk the takeaway, either.

On one of those nights when you fancy something different, why not visit the Yuki Japanese restaurant in Collins Road. There's usually plenty of free parking available.
We shared a bowl of miso soup, steamed rice, mixed tempura seafood and vegetables which came in a basket, tako yaki - deep fried octopus balls with fish flakes topping, pork and vegetable dumplings and a dish of steamed rice.
I used the miso to moisten my rice portion. The tempura seafood was especially nice - dipped in a spicy sauce. The octopus balls were delish and the little pork dumplings were good indeed. All this went down with a bottle of sauvignon blanc - you have to bring your own.wine. Service was good. Altogether ittwas a pleasant dining experience and very affordable.

My wife and I originally purchased a strawberry daiquiri. We wanted a Pina Colada but the tavern's range of cocktails is very small. I was told the strawberry daiquiri is the most popular. I'm sure it was made with canned strawberries and I gave my to my wife after only a few sips. Very strange taste but she enjoyed them.
We ordered garlic bread to share, a chicken brie main course (for my wife) and ocean barramundi dish for me. The latter included a large helping of rice and bok choy.
The garlic bread in my opinion was far too thick and therefore very filling. The barramundi was OK.
Both meals were very large servings and therefore will appeal to hearty eaters. I couldn't finish mine. (Maybe too much garlic bread)!!
Staff were very friendly.
All meals and drinks had to be ordered and paid for at the counter. I found this annoying.
Meals were delivered in good time despite the tavern being very busy.
Would I go back....no!
I have been to other hotels who offer table service and where I have enjoyed their meals better than this Tavern's. However, I hasten to admit this can simply be a matter of what I ordered.
To summarise, the price of the meals, having to go to the counter to order meals drinks etc are persuasion not to want to return

Modern Italian Restaurant. Pizza, Pasta, Coffee, Hearty breakfasts, casual Mediterranean meals and cocktails in a stylish, modern space.
A regular breakfast haunt for us and week after week Lena, Dario and their fabulous staff always deliver. The food is consistently good and the staff are very friendly. The waffles have been removed from the menu but there are many other options including a number of vegan and vegetarian ones. Also great for lunch and dinner.

A very busy place but a good place for hot Japanese food. The usual suspects - noodles, bento, sushi are all available. Good value for money.

There is nothing fancy about the Taurus at all. The Seating is basic, as is the service, but the place gets packed because the traditional Malaysian hawker food sold here is brilliant. I am a laksa lover, and consider the Taurus to serve the best laksa in Perth. For that reason alone it is worth going back to time and time again.

We were introduced to this suburban gem by Perth friends who are regular customers and, perhaps because of that, the level of service and the quality of food very good.
The greeting on our arrival was very friendly and subsequent service very attentive. Our friends did the ordering and were able to discuss with the order taker (I suspect part of the ownership) what was good and available and not necessarily on the menu. The food turned out to be very tasty and rivalled the best of suburban restaurants we have experienced in the Eastern States and overseas.
The price for a big meal of varied dishes was very reasonable

This very popular hawker style restaurant offers down to earth good value Chinese Malaysian cuisine. Our favourites are the salt and pepper squid tentacles, Singapore pork ribs and sizzling prawns. The place is of course relatively noisy but you can still have conversation. When weather is appropriate you can sit outside which is quieter.
You can have a great meal for about $13 a head. Great value.
