My husband and I went to this beautiful restaurant for lunch a few weeks ago. Shane, the owner, greeted us and was so pleasant. We enjoyed wonderful food and the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant. The walls are adorned by stunning artwork by a local artist and Shane explained that they are on view and, of course for sale, all year round.
Our lunch was served promptly and was delicious.
Shane came to chat with us before we paid our bill and in what I consider a remarkably generous act, when told we were on a break following my Mother's death, he would not charge us for our drinks. We never ate here before and this act of kindness touched us greatly. We will be back soon. Sincere thanks Shane

Don't go here at lunchtimes. Some (not all) staff can be pretty rude and come across as impatient. I asked for advice on allergies and the waiter just didn't have the time to help me whatsoever. He threw a menu at me and mumbled "I'll be back in a minute". I've eaten here a lot but I've started to lose patience with the mediocrity of food and staff lately. It used to be a great local place to eat. There are lots of other places to eat in town and I actively avoid now.

Templars Inn is an historic pub restaurant in the scenic area of Hook Head in Co. Wexford. Specialising in fresh seafood dishes, we offer panoramic sea views while you tuck into our famous seafood chowder or locally caught crab claws.
Attended Templars last night and it was great! Chowder, chicken wings and nachos consumed for starters! Massive portion of nachos (probably too big! Didn’t see whether it was an individual portion or to share when ordering).
Scampi, burger and ribs for mains which we couldn’t finish as we were so full!
Will return when back in Ireland again!

Situated in the picturesque village of Kilmore Co. Wexford, Mary Barry's Bar is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and fabulous locally sourced seafood, served daily and prepared by popular chef Nicky Cullen. Mary Barry's is a holiday favourite in the summer months with a beautiful family friendly walled beer garden to the rear (including bouncy castle for the little ones) but is equally popular in the winter months with its cosy wood burning stoves and even warmer welcome.Food is served daily from 12pm, there is music every weekend, and a bus service to get you home at the end of the night.
On a recommendation by my son and his wife , five of us came here for Sunday lunch. The starters looked lovely but as we had been told that unless you skipped breakfast a main course would be very filling we thought that we would just go for the main with the option of dessert after. We were glad we took the advice. On a very lengthy menu three of us went for fish and the other two had Turkey and ham. All of the food was piping hot and very flavoursome also very plentiful. The service was very efficient. Mary Barry’s bar is a very large premises but I would advise to book in advance as it was packed. I can fully understand why. This was our first time here but we will be back .

Spice is an authentic Indian Restaurant serving quality Indian food. Our chefs come from Kerela, South India and have been trained at the 5 star Taj Hotel Group. We pride ourselves on using only fresh ingredients and our own fresh ground spices. Both our food and wine menu's are very reasonably priced and we also offer a special mid week menu as well as an early bird menu. We are situated in Monck Street which is Wexford's premier street for nightlife and we have beautiful views of Wexford harbour. 'Spice' has recently been refurbished to a style that is both contemporary and warm. Children are very welcome if well supervised and we offer a children's menu which also includes some Indian dishes, with a special dessert of 'smartie' and popping candy ice-cream!
We arrived as the restaurant late as our ferry was cancelled in nearby Rosslare, it was about to close but they left me and 5 friends in anyway.
Can honestly say was one of the nicest curries I’ve ever had. I had the south Indian curry and it was immense.
The waiter was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Would highly recommend.

Located on Cornmarket, in the Heart of Wexford Town, the Thomas Moore Tavern is one of Wexfords oldest bars. Beautifully restored, the Thomas Moore Tavern uses the very best of local and seasonal ingredients and serves lunch and evening meals in stylish surroundings. Enjoy delicious food served daily in the ground floor bar or join us for a burger in the evenings while watching the big match. Enjoy casual meals in The Bistro, regular entertainment in The Bar, or book your own private function in our Piano Bar, we have everything you need for a great night out.
Lovely pub with great food. Can't really fault it, portions looked a bit small initially but in fact were perfect. Good attentive and prompt staff both behind bar on floor. You can dine in the bar or the lovely restaurant. Very clean throughout. Will return if ever down that way again.

after having passed a night on a ferry (to Rosslare) we decided to look for a lovely cup of tea - yet did not want to end up next to the road (even if there are lots of nice places to visit, too - I am sure of that) - well we drove on for a couple of minutes we saw a sign mentioning karoo farmshop & cafe
it did sound nice - and we tried it
we were not disappointed
at first I thought, that the dishes were quite pricy - baked potato for nearly 10 Euro - but when it was served the large plate was full! packed with delicious side dishes and of course a lovely potatos with different cheeses as it was ordered. We also tried a Sandwich - which was served with salads and fries - also delicious and large portion.
We could see that the kitchen used products from the farmshop - as while we were there some needed things (cucumber eg) were fetched from the shop. Staff was very friendly, food was great, the tea (of course we had a pot of tea, too) was great also. After having eaten we found out, that we had gotten new energy - we hadn´t been aware of having needed it after the long sleep on the ferry - but we felt so much better and refreshed after the pause there - that we only can recommend trying :-).

Had a lovely smoked salmon and poached egg open Sandwich here for breakfast. It was very tasty and a good price. The service was good, friendly and efficient. Each table had a newspaper so breakfasting alone was common there.
