The restaurant is nice, service was just OK. The young boy who waited on us didn't speak very good English. We asked for our food without raw onions, which apparently is a staple of this restaurant. Everything came with raw onions.
The portions were huge; the quality was good, but not great.

Bricco's just never disappoints. I have been there probably 50 times over the years. The food is always excellent (seriously have never had a bad meal) and the atmosphere is lively. Wait staff is friendly and knowledgable about the menu. Reservations are only available for groups of 6 or more. My favorite dishes here are the Kale salad and the salmon with a mustard maple glaze. Excellent.

Set in the very center of the West Hartford shopping and restaurant district, Barcelona is located on Farmington Avenue amid plenty of convenient parking. Inside the main dining room, dramatic artwork accents the walnut and industrial design of the room. Above this room is a private wine room seating up to 14 people for intimate affairs. For private parties, the private dining room can accommodate 60-80 people. The outside patio has a radiant-heated floor and its retractable awning encloses the area allowing for the space to be utilized all year. West Hartford is a restaurant mecca for the center of Connecticut and Barcelona is the Hartford Courant's 4-star choice for the best of the best.
Even with reservations there is wait. And then there is wait for your meals. And if they can’t get it right there is even more of wait so,if you have medical needs that require you to eat at certain times. Stay away from here. Because you might be the one whose meal doesn’t come. Then They try to appease you with items that you can’t eat. Pricey menu that’s it for me

Max's Oyster Bar has the kind of vibe that makes it a great place for a special occasion when you want good food in a relaxed atmosphere. The service staff is terrific, and the fresh seafood is creatively prepared, unless you want it raw, and then it's great, too.

This is a great restaurant and they have recently added Coq a Vin which is hard to find in this area. A very good wine list, nice ambiance and very good service. A very good value for an outstanding meal. I have been here many times and it never disappoints.

We haven't eaten at Max Burger in quite a while -- our last experience was very poor as the wait for the food was excruciating. This time we were immediately seated; our server (Lauren) was very, very attentive, informative (and cross-sold the loyalty program, which is free and which we joined), and engaging. We ordered our food and it showed up within a reasonable time frame. It was very good -- the quality of the meat is far superior to that which you would find in other burger "joints". We were offered refills on the drinks. We were tempted to try the desserts, which sounded quite tempting. The acid test: would I go back? Yes, it is worth another try (and maybe soon).

Located in the historical Educational Building (a little off West Htfd Center), this restaurant is steak haven. Diverse seafood and vegetarian meal selections are also available.
Of particular mention from the Bar A La Carte menu were their NZ lamb chops, (charred to perfection), tenderloin carpaccio with caper creole mustard sauce (tasty and done well), and seared ahi tuna hit the spot before going to the theater. Definitely will be back when there is more time to linger over the full Fleming food and wine experience. Staff and service level was attentive and knowledgeable.

Inspired by a healthy, outdoor lifestyle, bartaco combines fresh, upscale street food with a coastal vibe in a relaxed environment. bartaco is specialty cocktails crafted with fresh-squeezed juices, beer out of a bottle, and hand-held foods delivered on metal trays. The rustic beach resort design complements the spirited bold and bright flavors of bartaco’s eclectic menu. The stylish ambience, cocktails, and freshly prepared tacos and “not tacos” create an unforgettable experience.
I am obsessed with Bartaco. It’s great for happy hour, date nights, dinner with friends, or even family celebrations. The food is all really good but the Bartaco Margarita is my favorite drink of all time. The interior is super cute and the bartenders and servers are all very friendly. Can’t say enough. I was there 4 times last week.
