It's been awhile since I reviewed this restaurant. During this last visit, Lazy Dog has changed their menus layout and I noticed some items were gone or under a different location. The first time I reviewed this restaurant, this place was really busy during the lunch. I was really surprised it was not busy during lunch on a Tuesday during this latest visit.
While I ordered the same meal, the quality was still the same but the presentation was different. They used to bring it in a bowl and now they brought on a plate. Since it's been a while since I had been there, it appeared my meal was a bit smaller from the last time I was there for lunch.
The service was the same and I didn't have any problems with the server. I will visit again. I hope this place does not shut down for a lack of customers.

We love the food here. It's our go-to restaurant for Mexican food. However, if we don't feel like dining in a really noisy place, we go elsewhere. I think it's the acoustics of the place. Plus loud people, crashing dishes, screaming babies... We're not old, but sometimes it's so noisy, we can't even talk across the table. Maybe it would be better to sit in the extra eating area off main room. Or maybe take-out would be good too. At any rate, I've never been disappointed in the food.

At In-N-Out Burger, quality is everything. Stop by to enjoy our menu of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries and shakes. In-N-Out makes fast food the old fashioned way.
In-N-Out Burger started in Baldwin Park, CA (a replica of the original outlet is just up the street) and today there's a large outlet located on the grounds of In-n-Out University. There's plenty of seating inside and out if you'd like to eat in and two lines for car traffic for the drive through window. In-N-Out is all about burgers. While I'm not a fan of their "secret" sauce I still find their burgers to be far better than other fast food chains and there's no better way to wash them down with one of their shakes. Do visit the website to find items on their secret menu.

It's been a while since I last ate at Flappy's. I had not stopped because every time that I wanted to visit, the place was packed with people out the door (and I am serious, not joking). Since it changed ownership several years ago, the number of patrons have just grown like crazy. I started coming to Flappy's when it first opened and it was more of a locals place. We ate there at least once a week but then the crowds just started to grow and grow and GROW! I've never had a bad experience with the food or the service at Flappy's. In fact, Flappy's was one of the first places to really expand on their pancake menu. I would try one of their specialty pancakes and then a few months later, I would see a commercial for that pancake house with a very similar offering. Hmm...I asked the old owner (Perry was his name) and he said he had a few visitors from IHOP stop by so it didn't surprise him that he was getting copied.
Anyhow, this review is about my most recent visit in October. Since it had been at least two or three years since I last ate there, I was curious to see if service or food quality had changed. Well, everything is still the same and the quality is just as good. I ordered the lunch version of the Asian Chicken Salad and it was supposed to be the half portion. For a lunch portion, the salad was huge and I was full after I barely finished it. The chicken is grilled and it was so flavorful. There are also slivered almonds, mandarin oranges, wonton strips and pieces of celery. The dressing is just divine and I highly recommend this salad to anyone who likes Asian Chicken salad. You will not be disappointed with the quality and portion.
Let me address the crowd issue, we came at noon on a Friday. The place was still full and we had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated. By the time we left at 1pm, the place had thinned out a lot. Flappy's closes at 3pm so the crowds deminish after lunch. The great thing about coming a bit later is that you can still have breakfast and try one of their delicious omelettes, pancakes, waffles, crepes or skillets. I hope to come back soon but I need to time it well since I avoid the place on the weekends and my best bet would be to stop by during the week. Oh and if you come on a holiday weekend (Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas break, etc) forget about getting seated quickly because you are going to wait, wait, WAIT!

Spent our last night in the bar partying. The drinks were good and there is plenty of space to gather large groups. There is also outdoor areas to sit.

There are so many barbeque places out there, it is hard to distinguish yourself from the crowd. Canyon City may not be terribly distinctive, but this place will certainly satisfy your taste for good solid barbeque. As a southerner, I was not familiar with tri tip, so my California colleague suggested I give it a try. I coupled it on a combo plate with pulled pork along with sides of baked beans and cornbread. The tri tip was very flavorful, good with or without sauce. I preferred the tri tip to the pulled pork (I've certainly had better of the latter). The baked beans were really, really good. Not too strong and not too sweet - perfect really. If you like lighter cornbread, you will really like Canyon City's. If you prefer denser cornbread, you may want to go another direction. All in all, a very good visit.

First, let me say that the food was excellent. We were a party of 4 and we all enjoyed everything. Our main complaint is the same as most other restaurants, and that is when they explain about their specials, they should also tell the price. Vincenzo’s Terrazza is an Italian restaurant and the menu reflects Italian restaurant prices. One also expects that the price of the specials would be in line with other menu items. In this case, Lasagna and Fettuccini were $13.95 and $14.95 respectively. Appetizers prices were also in line. Even the wine list was in line with expectations. However, the special appetizers and the special dinners were twice the cost of the menu dinners, that is $25.00 each. While the food was good, patrons should be warned about the cost of specials, especially when they are priced twice the cost of the normal meal. Also, the restaurant is VERY noisy.

Capri has been around for ages. They make great sandwiches and decent pasta; you can buy sliced meats and cheeses, pickles, frozen pasta, sauces, sausages, and Italian cookies here and take them all with you. They'll grate cheese on the spot for you, too. And there's seating in the back if you want to eat there.

These are so good and a decent size! two of these and I'm stuffed. It gets really packed especially during lent on Fridays. Limited seating but the lines are all the way to the door. The cashiers are friendly and offer you good suggestions if you're not sure what to get. They have Mexican sodas and aguas are really good. The best part the yellow chiles asados con limon, sal, y pimienta! I could eat these all by themselves! The tacos have cabbage, tomatoes, and mexican crema! Oh boy, I'm getting hungry just writing this. Bottom line you want fish tacos then your place is Taco Nazo. You will not be disappointed and they have coctel de camaron and campechana that are mighty tasty too. Tacos will run you 2 bucks each but so worth it.

A staple in La Puente off of Amar, this fast food burger place does not disappoint! Food is tasty, though not low in calories, and very reasonably priced. You will not leave hungry. Large onion rings, YUM, BEST charbroiled burgers around, and FAST and efficient service. I regret that since I've moved away, I've yet to find a burger place that meets or beats Chris's Burger. Stop by, have a meal, and become a fan. I did! Oh, inside seating is limited but, they do have patio seating as well. Finally, this place is not a typical restaurant, so don't come here if that's what you're looking for. It's a typical California fast food burger place. Not fancy. Simply, good food at great price.
