Located in the middle of town Daylight Donuts is a longstanding institution for great pastries and coffee- also a good place for conversation with friends while you’re enjoying a sweet treat. This time has the best Apple Fritter I’ve ever had accompanied by a pretty good cup of coffee. Very friendly staff and free Wi-Fi. Check it out!

The Dore is a great family owned restaurant. They have daily specials along with a nice menu that's priced just right. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was both sweet and spicy. I really liked it. I would recommend visiting if you're ever in Wellington, KS.

Both breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups and wraps. Inviting area with plenty of room. There was a small stage area that appeared to host entertainment if you are lucky enough to be there at the right time. Reasonable prices. Clean restrooms! Order at the counter, seat yourself, and your meal is served to you. Excellent chicken & noodles!

Quaint little place. Not a ton of seating inside, but they have some outside. Club sandwich was very good. I had a good salad, but the lettuce looked a little dark. One waitress was pretty busy during the lunch crowd. She did a good job, but difficult to check in on everyone. Open 24hrs. I will definitely visit again. Liked it.

We like to stop at hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants when we are traveling, so Fabiola's was right up our alley. The service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was inviting. They were quick to take our order. Though the restaurant had few diners, it took a good while for the food to come. They kept the chips coming. The salsa was acceptable but not remarkable. We enjoyed our meal and would eat here again, should we be in Wellington in the future. All that being said, in the world of small Mexican restaurants, it was simply average.

I think that the family that is running this restaurant has a hard time delivering quality authentic food in the small town of Wellington Kansas.
I have placed many takeout orders and I drive from my little town over to this town to pick it up and it's always prepared quickly and packaged thoughtfully.
My problem with the resto is that they are very heavy on the sauces and preparing the meat too far ahead of time in my opinion. The vegetables are usually very fresh but they tend to get overloaded with the oyster sauces and obviously there's not the correct type of Chili's and Chinese vegetables but they do substitute reasonably well.
The beef is a big issue with me because they do not velvet the beef properly, and they do not use fresh Szechuan peppercorns and vegetables, but as I said it is small-town America and I'm sure there are some ingredients are hard to get.
I will continue to order from here as it is convenient and it does break the cycle of our typical beef chicken pork cycle that we go through every week.
I really hope the owners of this business would read the review and I have commented upon check out a few times that they're just was not enough fresh spices in the foods. I am 100% sure that they're using bottled and canned sauces from the distributor in Wichita and it would be pretty easy just to jazz it up a little bit at the very end but most of the most of the time that is not the case.
You can see from some other reviews on this site and others that the differences and taste from month-to-month are noted and I really think I higher-quality ingredients and attention to detail would really make this place something to travel for and to as a destination.

My wife and I have eaten here several times since it opened. We've tried numerous of the entrees and have found the pulled pork to be the consistently best choice on the menu. Sides are good. Everything here is good but there's nothing special about it to differentiate it from any other BBQ place that's why I gave it an average rating. Service is ok.

The exterior hides a gem. The food is above average. Service is excellent and attentive. The meats are from a local market in the village of Mayfields Ks

On July 30, after reading good reviews on Trip Advisor, I decided to take a detour off the turnpike to give this restaurant a try. I must say, I was very impressed!!!
FOOD: This was the absolute best Chinese food I have ever had. All too often, the chicken at Chinese restaurants is grisly and funky. But, this chicken was exceptionally clean and tasty. The General's chicken was by far the best I have ever had. The sweet and sour chicken was amazing as well. I also had the best crab rangoon I have ever had. Oh my gosh, the fried cod has awesome too! The only slightly negative comment I could make is that the egg rolls were slightly overcooked. Nonetheless, this is a phenomenal buffet!!!! Don't forget the ice cream. The waitress gets it for you from the kitchen.
PRICE: The prices at this restaurant are very average. An adult dinner buffet is $8.49. They charged $2.99 for my 3 year old.
SERVICE: The service at this restaurant is as outstanding as the food!!! My waitress was super nice and helpful. My 3 year old son loved the waitress and was very impressed when she brought him ice cream. I was about an hour down the turnpike when I realized I forgot to leave a tip. I felt awful, since I had just received some of the best service I have received in my entire life!
The next time I am in the area I will definitely stop again! I am so glad I did not miss this little treasure.

This is the best Mexican Food Restaurant in Wellington and well worth stopping off the interstate to eat. The service is great, the food is very good and presentation of the food is very good. It's very clean and has a nice atmosphere. I had the Chimichanga which had beef chicken and pork and it was very good! Prices are very reasonable. I paid $8 for my meal which included rice and pico de gallo, lettuce and guacamole.
