While riding on RAGBRI we were looking for a place to eat. Everything started pretty good. A cute waitress, ok drinks, food apps and a old school salad that was good. But the star of the show should have been the ribs...but they weren't. They came out dry and resembled show leather more so than something edible. They were sent back but the next slab was equally bad. Another diner ordered a 2 piece chicken dinner. Smallest chicken I've probably ever seen. 2 steaks that were ordered were both over cooked as well. Oh well, bike on Garth.

great little coffee shop on main street. Coffee is very good, free wifi, and lots of comfortable chairs, sofas, tables, and music. nice place to spend a couple hours doing some work.

(319) 352-4370; reservation only; dinner price range $8-20 - dined there last night. Quiet setting in refurbished older building.
Once in a while you're lucky enough to discover a hidden gem of a restaurant. On a recent Saturday evening, we found such a place at the Waterstreet Grill in Waverly, Iowa. Even though we arrived with a large group, which can put many restaurants into a spin, we were seated promptly and experienced superb service. Our server, Kelly, answered any and all questions, provided helpful suggestions to navigate the delicious menu options, and quietly and deftly handled our large group cheerfully and quickly. To describe the quality and flavor of our food would require more space than this review would allow, but just let me say from appetizers through desserts, each course arrived piping hot and timely with each member of our group arguing that their entrée had to be the best! My personal recommendation is my all-time favorite dessert, bread pudding. I have had this dish in many many restaurants over the years and I can honestly say that Waterstreet Grill's version has them all beat! Waterstreet Grill is a jewel in Waverly, and well worth the drive.

Stooped here after dinner two nights ago. Very busy place , but young folks working here try their best to get all orders out in a timely manner. The only thing I would improve on , would be the way people are waited on. Two doors to come in, and no real way to tell where or who is Next in line ?
Ice cream is great, be patient when ordering .

The name Wild Carrot is known for their signature soup which is very good. They have a variety of things on the menu and all homemade. I like their grilled chicken sandwich which I can't remember the name of, also their chicken salad on croissant is

We stopped here on a road trip after viewing the reviews here. We didn't have time to get the pizza that comes so highly recommended, but we were very happy with our entrees. We went in with pretty high expectations and they were exceeded. Busy but no wait on a Friday night at 6:30PM. Casual bar atmosphere.
Good service. We would be regulars if we lived nearby.

If I remember the company's history correctly Sub City was founded by a guy originally from New Jersey with a love for subs. Well let me tell you they are unlike anything you've had from the larger chain competitors. There is a variety of meats and cheeses and condiments for your sandwich. The bread has just the right texture and is very flavorful but doesn't detract from what's inside. I had the Prosciuttini, Salami, Provolone with the works: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oregano, salt, pepper, vinegar, and oil. My wife and mom had the Turkey and provolone. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it!

My husband and I have made Tapatio's a restaurant to patronize regularly. I have tried almost all the chicken and seafood dishes and have enjoyed them all. Camarones Monterrey and Chicken Chipotle are two of my favorites and there is always enough to take home to take for lunch the next day. If you are really hungry the Pollo or Camarones Mazatlan made with carrots, celery, onions, green peppers and mushrooms in a white sauce is a must. Often my husband and I will order the Fajita Sampler for two that includes chicken, shrimp, and beef over onions and green peppers. All their food is served with refried beans and the most perfect rice that is not dry or mushy, just perfect. All meals are cooked to order so if there is an ingredient you do not care for, they are happy to omit it. The wait staff is friendly and service is fast. During warmer weather it is nice to sit on the patio and relax.

My wife and I got the two for $20 special which was pretty good. Things were slow on this Friday afternoon with only us and a few more customers present. Our waitress served us pretty well and food was good as well. It wasn't excellent as a whole, but Very Good as I have graded our meal and visit.

Even though it's name is Pizza Ranch, it has the best fried chicken I have ever eaten in a restaurant. I also enjoy the way they prepare green beans. When you pay, you are asked if there's a special kind of pizza they could make for you. Another style of chicken and potatoes have been added that are very popular. There's a salad bar and dessert pizzas You can even get soft serve vanilla ice cream for dessert. Love this place on the west side of Waverly!
