Keps is a Washington institution serving good food and drinks. They have bands in frequently and are a great place to enjoy time with friends while listening and dancing to music. It is a wide open space with rows of tables reminiscent of a cafeteria but still a nice place to get pizza.

Stopped in from out-of-town at this cozy little place for a coffee drink and an iced tea with a friend. She is a "Starbucks" expert and they make her favorite mocha. However, she said the iced mocha she had at The Blend was just as good--a very high rating! I had an herbal iced tea that was delicious and refreshing. Great, friendly service and free wi-fi!

This is the best place to get ice cream! They have a HUGE menu selection which can definitely be overwhelming. However staff is always polite in answering questions regarding what is in particular wizards. I've never eaten here but heard it's great greasy food. Too bad they close during the late fall and winter.

Ron's is delicious. Get the fritters. They're crisp on the outside and soft on the inside... just perfect. In fact, I have to leave and go get one right now.

We liked the new place, but there were problems with food. The French onion soup was not served at the proper temperature, cheese had hardened on top, cold. Ordered whiskey steak med rare and it came out over cooked and the mashed potatoes and the steak were really overpowered with the garlic and other spices. The beef tips were good. Didn't tell waitress as we didn't have time to wait for new food to be prepared.

Have been to Washington a number of times and have stopped here on multiple occasions. Clean restaurant, food is good, reasonable prices and service was very good as well.

Been to this new Dunkin' Donuts twice, both times for coffee. Each time I found the people at the counter knowledgable of their offerings. They interacted with my children, who were excited to get flavored hot chocolate. Prices were good (better than the competitive chain store) and this last time they helped me enroll in their rewards program while I stood at the counter. However while they did this, the single cashier also made sure to keep things moving by taking the order of the people who came in behind me, so they didn't have to just stand and wait while he was finishing up with me. By the time I was done paying, my drinks were ready, they were ready to pay for theirs and their drinks were ready for them by the time they hit the end of the counter to pick them up. The store was clean and everyone was very friendly. I was impressed.

1874 bank building with breakfast/lunch at Denhart's Bakery. New ownership, slimmed down menu with updated taste. Good-sized portions - I had lightly breaded chicken tenders that were 1/2 the size of a breast, perfectly cooked. My friends ate chili, chicken salad, and green salad w/ chicken & it was all fresh & tasty. Service was efficient & friendly. It was busy on a Monday for lunch. Cool, old building where parts & pieces of old bank used throughout. NOTE: bed & breakfast upstairs being remodeled into boutique hotel w/ large 7 rooms; brand new bathrooms & furniture, closets added (stuffy old antique-laden rooms cleared out); Wi-Fi access. The "C Note" Bar in basement is getting a complete gut job & will be a restaurant/bar with dinner menu - inn & restaurant opening mid-summer. Washington Square has a new bakery, Holland's Candy, sporting goods store, clothing shop, 3-story antique store, re-purposed items/gift/home decor store, Merle Norman, Peddler's Way Quilt shop - cool little town!

We ate here with a group of 11 people on Saturday night with reservations at 7. There were several large tables in our area which may have contributed to what I thought was average at best service. We sat for at least 10 minutes before we had any type of service attention. When he did come by, he apologized for the delay but seemed rushed and somewhat put out. He took our drink orders and filled them accordingly and than took our food orders. Again, he just seemed rushed and put out and the larger tables may have contributed to that. But, at the same time, there were employees in the area behind us just standing around. Our food orders arrived and they were all very good. No complaints from anyone. We did have to ask for bread which was surprising but again, everything was very good. Price wise, it is not an inexpensive place. With 11 people and a total of 7 alcoholic drinks, our bill was over $200.00 before tip. Portions are huge though and the quality was high. The manager came by to make sure everything was good which was appreciated. We will always come back due to the quality of food but the service needs to be somewhat more inviting for my taste.

East Peoria restaurant recently opened. Food is homemade along with the desserts. I had the salmon patties made with fresh Salmon, not from the can we we're told. It was good. Prices affordable and I will be back. Especially for the tenderloin.
