Go past the normal fast food options and choose easy healthy delicious shawarma. Vegan options include chick pea and falafel salads and wraps. Gluten free aware, too. Very tasty fatoosh fresh mixed greens. Friendly helpful staff/family. Order at counter and food delivered quickly to your table in this new, stylish but spare eatery. Only complaint, noisy due to no apparent soundproofing.
This will be a regular stop when we travel through this area. In and out in less than 30 minutes! Yum!

I’ve live within 5 mil s of this restaurant and hadn’t heard of it until friends invited us to join them for Dinner there. It was Saturday night and the place was packed.
We did wait about 25 minutes to sit but it was Saturday night... The server was very friendly and apologetic that we had to wait so long. Once we sat she was very attentive. The food was very good. I could see why it was so busy. When you go you have to try the Mozzarella in CArozza appetizer. Heaven on a plate. I had one of the chefs specials (don’t recall the name). It was an awesomely mixture of ground veal and mushrooms in a huge crepe covered with a mushroom cream sauce. It was a like a giant ravioli pillow of awesomeness.
When we were leaving Chef Al even came out and apologize for the long wait and thanked us for visiting. Seriously who does that? Very nice patrons, talented chef, great food, and kind service. My wife and I have been looking for a place like this. So glad we found ya. We’ll be back soon.

Our Family of Origin introduced us to Washington Dining decades ago.
We have appreciated the many Washington Dining options, and arranged for Lunch today, as we drive to a Ski Holiday.
We like that the Union Grill has been a place of hospitality since the 1700’s.
Ambience: The Pub –like ambience is very inviting.
Service: Excellent
Dining: Baked Cheese Steak - Sliced top round of beef, bell peppers and onions topped with provolone.
We highly recommend.

Never had a bad meal here. My favorite for special occasions! Atmosphere isn't the best but the food makes up for it. Service is always excellent. One of my favorites is the original flatbread. Going gluten free right now because of some digestive issues and my first thought was "Oh No...no flatbread!) Gelato is also wonderful. A little pricey but still one of my all around favorites in Wash, PA.

When a new restaurant opens in your town, even when it’s a collaborative effort backed by an eatery you’ve always enjoyed, there is always a small amount of trepidation associated with your first visit. This can be amplified if your town isn’t a major metropolitan hub of culture and gastro-snobbery.
The Washington Brewing Co. was just such a place for me and while I was visiting after my husband and despite the fact that his initial impressions had been really stellar, I was still skeptical. All incredulousness dissolved, though, with the first bite. The food was exceptional, the service friendly, and the drinks delish! We shared the Roasted Roma salad as an appetizer which was flavorful and fresh. Then I had the Ale Onion Burger which was cooked perfectly and was by far one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever eaten. We finished our meal with a glass of their double IPA which, while I don’t consider myself a beer connoisseur, was excellent as well as a mixed drink which was exceptional.
I should note that while it was busy, it wasn’t packed during our visit and my husband mentioned that when he had previously visited, the open layout had been a challenge since the place had been packed and the resulting noise was somewhat deafening. We both agreed that we liked the open feel, but perhaps some noise breaks wouldn’t be a bad idea.
So for those of you who live in Washington and perhaps share my initial dubiousness of new places in our town or for those of you who might have reason to visit “Little Washington”, please, take my advice and give the WBC a try! I’m sure you’ll be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

With a spectacular view of the racetrack, the award-winning Bistecca Steakhouse & Wine Bar at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino offers the perfect setting for an evening out. Our menu honors classic steakhouse fare with our all natural angus beef, prime and dry aged steaks. Fresh seafood and Italian influenced specialties set our standards above the rest. Guests can enjoy an appetizer, meal or cocktails in our lounge, patio or dining room or relax in the Cigar Bar. Our wine list offers more than 150 varieties by the bottle and over 20 offerings by the glass with an emphasis on the great wines of Italy and the United States. Our wines are selected carefully to pair wonderfully with any of our hearty steaks, seafood and Italian classics.
We really enjoyed our dinner at this Steakhouse again. Ironically I reviewed the restaurant in March, 2016. My experience was nearly exactly the same. Professional and friendly staff - Anna, Hunter, and David could not have been better. The oysters on the half shell are great. The 7oz Filet with garlic mashed potatoes was the best. Done perfectly. I avoided the usual mistake I make which is ordering all the sides, i.e. mushrooms, creamed spinach. They looked delicious so next time I got to bring a group of us so we can all share the sides. Thanks David - your team did its usual knock out job!

We met with Carrie to talk about a rehearsal dinner and were so impressed with everything about this restaurant. The photos on their website do not do it justice. The food is really well prepared. The chicken dish was super most and the salmon was perfect. We also had Pittsburgh salads with some of the best fries I've ever tasted. Super crunchy!! The fried pickles and pretzel dippers rounded out this perfect meal.

Reviews encouraged me to Stop here on an annual trip west. After parking in the restaurant's parking area, the first thing I noticed was some grimy Christmas decorations piled next to the building. Not a good first impression - still I was willing to let the food change that. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and led to a table. I ordered beef barbecue and slaw. My husband ordered a grilled southern fried chicken wrap and a basket of fries. Our food was served promptly; however, I was served a basket of sweet potato fries instead of the slaw I ordered. Our waitress immediately corrected the mistake and we finished our meal. Husband loved his wrap and the sweet potato fries. My BBQ sandwich and slaw was ok. A nice touch was the waitress walking us to the door and saying goodbye.

Palazzo 1837 Ristorante is the area's premier Italian dining experience. Located south of Pittsburgh in Washington, PA, Palazzo 1837 specializes in old-fashioned Northern and Southern Italian dishes - steaks, seafood, pasta, chicken, and veal. Nestled against the hillside on the historic Quail Acres Estate, the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this early 19th century, Palladian-style mansion showcases an old world charm. Visit our rustic Tavern 1837 featuring an antique marble bar, classic German and Belgian draught selections, an array of Pre-Prohibition era Specialty Drinks, and an exceptional wine list.
We’ve eaten at this place several times. It’s this very quaint old mansion with lots of character. You can easily have a good conversation without being drowned out by noise like at many restaurants. The food, wine and beer are very good.
The desserts are so, so - after a couple of times, we now order dessert elsewhere. Some of the servers are very friendly and a pleasure to talk with, while other servers are simply transactional and not particularly friendly.
Overall, we go here from time to time. The place has turned over a couple of times in the 10 years we’ve been in the area. We’re rooting for minor improvements, as mentioned.

My wife and I were in Washington, Pa and decided to stop at Shorty's lunch for a quick bite. The restaurant was featured on Rick Sebak's show Nebby. The hotdogs were good alongside the fries with gravy. If you find yourself in Washington, PA stop in and have a couple dogs and fries. There are also other offerings on the menu as well.
