Had a full English, bacon and sausages you can taste, great breakfast. Great cafe with the best local credentials. A must for breakfast, but have a a pie previously that's just as good. Small cafe so be prepared to be let down. Swan age has the biggest get of the two.

This cosy but expansive pub offers a nice selection of good gastro-pub food and is well worth a stop. East Morden is actually a fair way from Wareham so check a map beforehand. It lies just north of the A35 and is conveniently placed between Poole and Bere Regis There is a large car park. Ideal for walking parties or just a quiet twosome.

Visited with a friend for lunch. The portions were relatively small but the staff were helpful and friendly. The starters were reasonable although my wife could not identify and white meat crab in hers. The mains were the problem; very few chips and yet a heap of peas with the gammon.

Nice setting, average food. The building is lovely, right next to the river and the waitress was lovely and helpful although we wasn't told what the specials were (We overheard the other waitress telling the table next to us after we had eaten) which was...MoreWe really appreciate your feedback; thank you for taking the trouble to post your review. Public House With Restaurant
Went along to this pub with my family for a quick drink and realised they had a music event on so asked if they could squeeze a table of nine in. The tall chap at the bar said he would go and have a look but warned me they were already pretty busy but he would see if he could juggle the tables around.
A couple of minutes later he came back with a smile on his face and said "all done ".
Between him and the only waitress working at this very busy pub the afternoon drink became a great night out and the service was superb. Thank for looking after us.
my only slight criticism would be the soup of the day definitely was not home made and that was a shame. Tasty though.

The person having the ham, egg, and chips was very happy with her meal.. chips were piping hot and ham tasty and tender.
The two people having the pies said the filling was very tasty, but thought the pies had been heated up in a microwave as the pastry was soft and pappy - they did arrive remarkably quickly after we'd ordered. Whilst they enjoyed the contents of the pies, both would have prefered crisp pastry, especially on top of the pie. Their chips were piping hot and they both liked the mix of vegetables they got and the gravy!
Having worked all my life in the hospitality industry, I love sampling local sausages around the UK...so I was really looking forward to the ones I'd ordered... my heart sank as soon as I saw them, I knew exactly how they would taste, what their consistency would be like when cut... but it's all personal taste/opinion in the end... the creamed potato was pleasant to eat, I really enjoyed my mixed vegetables and the gravy... and everything was hot.
So, a lot of positives re what we had, but the pastry and sausages were not the standard we hoped for.

Its a place where you can come and enjoy a relaxed cup of coffee, either Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha or Hot Chocolate. Or perhaps a tea, all the Cakes are Homemade. also Light lunches are served throughout the day from Homemade Soups, Jacket Potatoes, Paninis or maybe something off the daily Specials Board. A warm Friendly atmosphere awaits all.
My wife and I needed somewhere for lunch and happened on Kaffs which is tucked away off the main high street. This was a good decision - the tuna Sandwich my wife had was lovely (and large) and likewise my cheese and bacon jacket with its 3 rashers of crispy bacon. Very tasty, filling and reasonably priced.
Was only disappointed that, due to the size of the mains, we had no room for dessert as the cakes looked lovely. I'm sure a cream tea would have been great.
The place is only small so you may struggle for a table at busy times but there is outdoor Seating too.

We ate here for dinner as well as 2 breakfasts.
It's kinda confusing: views and rnew building design are modern.
1) Wait staff are dressed for conservative-formal-stiff-uncomfortable...from the old school space rather than this new amazing decor and room with incredible views.
2) Menu is fairly conservative--seems like it is totally from the old space. It lacks foodie flair that reflects the new space.
3) Aage of customers seemed to be well over 70.
Very good food
Very good service
Very good decor and design
Very good views of grounds and river
It'd be so much better if menu got a little more exciting and staff took off the tuxedo style dress.
Nonetheless, it is an above average dining experience.

Had a voucher for Christmas that gave 40% off selected pubs in Dorset so chose The Quay in Wareham, next to the river. Lots of renovation going on nearby so car park was fuller than expected, but still managed to park almost outside. Lunch was great, nice starters and popular burghers with trimmings for mains, and lovely afters. Friendly service in this now crowded pub, where dogs are allowed if under control. A lovely time was had by all.
