"The Most Romantic Restaurant on Long Island" - NY Times Praised by Zagat Survey for its "superb culinary artistry," La Plage is one of Long Island's premier dining destinations, set in a gorgeous beach-front location offering both indoor and terrace seating.
The setting is lovely, low key and welcoming. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The Prix fixe at lunch is an excellent buy with a glass of nice wine available for only $3.00 more. Each of our selections was excellent and presented beautifully. The rolls were also noteworthy. Kelly, our server was thoughtful, friendly and skilled. We were looking for a waterfront setting and this was prefect.

This diner is great for breakfast! Excellent wait staff! Omelette and waffles are excellent. Give it a try when in the area!

I'll start by saying we had a fixed menu (with 3 entree options) for a large group.
First course was a slab of fried eggplant which could have come from the local diner. Second course was a pasta with squash and mushrooms which was too salty (and I like a lot of salt). For the main course I had roast chicken which was reasonably tasty but nothing special. For over sixty bucks I would expect more.
I wouldn't bother to return.

Phil's is a sports bar that does not pretend to be something else. It's a nicely decorated, clean, well managed place that serves really good pub food and drinks. The service is very friendly and attentive and, most importantly, well trained. Even though its a sports bar, it is also family oriented which is why it's always crowded. There is ample parking in the back.

After a long time of mediocre local pizza I FINALLY found La Bistro in Wading River. Can't tell you enough how impressed we were with our pizza tonight. La Bistro I found out tonight have been in Wading River for 6 years, why we haven't tried it before we don't know. Bottom line, we are new customers their pizza was very tasty with a great crispy crust with a special bottom fixing, sauce and cheese were in perfect proportion making that an excellent pie. I would highly recommend La Bistro.

What's inside the food at Mesquite? They make everything on premises and if you look in their fridge - you'll see the ingredients.... farm to table meats and produce. Can Mr. Taco say that? I see a delivery truck in their parking lot weekly with frozen and pre-prepared products arriving. Why are they not open longer hours? Because they are small, local business and Mondays and Tuesdays are traditionally dead for retail. Do yourself a favor and explore their menu - don't stick with the tacos and fresh guac. They make amazing specialty items - like their corn chowder, ahi tuna tacos and more.

This very nice restaurant with unique menu has "Down Sized" itself to a limited "Pub" style menu. Had "Jumbo Wings" for an appetizer which were very typical and not the least "Jumbo" with sauce dumped on.The Rib Eye which I had at best was fair, cooked perfectly but far from a "prime cut". The wife had a Turkey club which she enjoyed. As for me I would not be interested in returning here for a steak.

What are we? Craft |noun| \’kraft\ – an activity that involves making something in a skillful way by using your hands. We are your reason to discover the North Fork! A haven for hand-crafted cuisine with honest ingredients, we create incredible pairings from our 22 on-tap beers and craft beverages and our artisanal lunch and dinner selections. Our $10 lunch menu, $5 Happy Hour and our famous weekly specials are a few of the ways we strive to offer craft choices at reasonable prices. Where are we? You’ll find us conveniently nestled at the gateway to Long Island wine country, with an outdoor patio overlooking the scenic 132-acre Great Rock golf course. Whether you’re local (hi, neighbor!) or visiting us on your way to the wineries, beaches, farms and seaports, we are perfectly situated for a lunchtime getaway or a fine evening out.
Nice menu. We shared several small plates - didn't try the entrees. The Caprese salad is very good, as are the flatbreads. The crab cakes are a must, very very good. The Oysters were fresh and delish. Great beer menu.
The restaurant is kind of odd in that there is a main room, which looked chic and lovely, that is really the home to the central bar. Then there is a second, smaller, more drab room that seems like the poor stepchild. Try to get on the back patio which is really great. It looks out onto the golf course, has an outdoor fireplace (not a fire pit), lots of seating and when we were there a quite good two person band playing live music.
I would definitely return if in the area.
