Vlissingen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈvlɪsɪŋə(n)] ( listen); Zeelandic: Vlissienge; historical name in English: Flushing) is a municipality and a city in the southwestern Netherlands on the former island of Walcheren. With its strategic location between the Scheldt river and the North Sea, Vlissingen has been an important harbour for centuries. It was granted city rights in 1315. In the 17th century Vlissingen was a main harbour for ships of the Dutch East India Company (VOC). It is also known as the birthplace of Admiral Michiel de Ruyter.

This former prison is located at the mound of the Scheldt and many ships and pilot boats can be seen passing here. The Seating here is in a glass extension of the historic prison tower. A unique spot with wide views.
The service is a bit slow and the food is not bad but unremarkable.
We will be back because of the views.

Had dinner on our first night in Vlissingen good fun trying to source what was what on the menu, small writing under the Dutch items.
Settle for a pork dish for my husband and a veal dish for me, both good with plenty of vegetables and of course frites.
Both the wine and beer excellent very good value. Staff were super good fun and very professional.

We have had pizza's here, and that were just good pizza's, enough filling, good taste but not really special, we did not get the Italian feeling. The starter with cooked snails was served without bread, when we asked, we got the comment: we never serve the snails with bread but due to our reamark we did get some bread to it (and they did not charge us extra for the bread). The pricing for the food is very good in relation to the quality.

This restaurant has been one of our favorite restaurants when we were hungry and thirsty. The meals are typical as in Dutch Greek restaurants are served: rather large portions, and of good quality, with little presentation. Don't excpect delicateness or privacy, the tables are very close to each other, and people love to drink with their food. The busiest time is from 6-8 PM, usually we book our table just before closing time, as it becomes more quiet. The staff always has been very friendly and are used to deal with a loaded restaurant. Eating here with family and kids is very popular as well. In addition this restaurant lies in the yaught-harbor of the city, which is a nice area. They also do takeway on the main dishes.

We've visited Spetters more than a dozen times now, and never experienced any disappointment. You get plates that are (luckily) not too heavy on the stomach, but always combine wonderful flavours with local ingredients. The place has been redesigned recently, with more light colours, and continues to offer a splendid view on the yachting harbour of Breskens. Don't rely on the website menu too much: it's not updated that often. That said, it would be nicer if the menu changed every month or so (in stead of every 3 months or even less frequently): our "dozen times" would have become "several dozen times"...

Strandpavillion in den Dünen von Vlissingen direkt am Meer mit Blick auf viele Schiffe
A very nice and pleasant stop during a long walk on the beautiful Beaches of the Vlissingen area. The atmosphere is warm, service is smiling and helpful and the food is really great. I would recommend the salads and the burgers that are outstanding.

Gevstigt op het belamipark in Vlissingen
I like visiting Sake & Sushi in Vlissingen. Why? Because it is a fun place to be. The food is excellent, and the people working there are the best ever. Very nice! Besides that their prices are very, very reasonable.
I think it's about time I had another visit. After pickings of, in my case mainly Japanese foods, I will top the evening off with a bowl of black sesame icecream. Love it!

The warmest place you can imagine from hospitality point of view. We have -outside Italy- never felt so welcome with our kids. Even our dog was treated like a true guest.
Do not expect a fancy modern designed place, but a trip to memory lane to the classic Indonesia. Very informal and cosy setting full of memorabilia.
And then the food. The Soto Ajam as a starter was mjammie! The shrimp and lamb sateh straight from the bbq. Next is the buffet. Honestly something we avoid after breakfast. But at Bandoeng the presented dishes are fresh, tasty and surprising. A cold Bintang makes it all perfect.
Enjoying the stay with personal and honest hostmanship of all the staff. We are blessed to have a scent of Mid-Java only within a hour drive.
Therefor to the lovely staff ones more; Terima kasih banyak!

We both ate the BLTC (Bacon, Lettuce, tomato and chicken). It looked good, tasted even better and the service was friendly. We tried the iced coffee as well.
Close to the Michiel de Ruyter statue and next to the 'MuZeeum' it is a nice place to be!
