Bar Y Comedor, En La Ruta De Acceso Al Pueblo A 20 Metros De La Esquina De La Plaza Del Mismo

This restaurant has a few tables inside the builidng, which is not too attractive. If the day is nice, it is muh better to sit in the garden. As soon as we got our table outside, the owner came and offered two "empanadas" on the house, while we studied the menu. Their specialties are grilled meats and our choice was a "vacío", very tasty, accompanied by crisp french fries and a good mixed salad., The empanadas, whih arrived very soon, were excellent . Prices are reasonable, but beware, they accept only Mastercard, if you have only other credit cards, you have to be prepared to pay in cash Desserts are nothing special, their espresso coffee is reasonably good. The owner came twice to ask if we were well attended, they care for their guests

Peperina was recommended to us by the owner of Posada el Pucará, the inn where we stayed. They use local, organic produce and locally-sourced meats, and the chef does magic with them. I later found out that he trained and cooked for years with Argentine super-chef Francis Mallman, and he definitely knows what he's doing. It was unquestionably the best meal we had on this trip, and we've had a lot of good meals. They have a good wine list, and the Malbec our waitress recommended was moderately priced and one of the best I've ever had. Peperina is in a lovely old house, simply and tastefully decorated, and the service is excellent. NOTE: They don't take credit cards, so make sure you have enough pesos. In our case, the owner of the inn called them up and arranged for us to pay him for the meal with a credit card and for him to reimburse the restaurant. If you're in Traslasierra and you love great food, do not miss this place!

It is both a cafeteria and a bakery located 600 meters from the main public square.
Its owners make almost everything you can eat there or take away: almost the best cakes, croissants, cookies, pastry, etc I ever eat!!!
They also take care of the clients by themselves, making you feel really comfortable because of their kindness.
I spent a week in Villa de las Rosas, entered the place just by chance but then went over and over again, on a daily basis, to have my breakfast, to eat a Sandwich or a pizza at noon, a coffee and a cake, etc.
