Wonderful home cooking! You know, in the U.S. we have these ridiculously pumped-up chickens with huge breasts but no taste. The grilled chicken here has so much delicious flavor, it’s like a different animal! They serve a delicious house red, service is welcoming and friendly and prices are low! A great place.

Very popular restaurant in Sines. The interior is very stylish but still cosy. The restaurant offers nice variety of meat and fish dishes. I ordered stuffed beef fileet in creamy sauce and it was heavenly, definitely the best meal on our roundtrip in Portugal. The prices aren't cheap but definitely worth every penny spend. Must visit if you're in Sines.

In a totally changed Sines from when I first visited it in the summer of 1980, we chanced upon this very small restaurant. Simple decor and local patrons but the food was good and inexpensive. The waiter, Vitor Branco, initially a bit weary and Brusque, warmed up and became friendly even offering us some of his private bagaceira. He also speaks English and Italian while his petite, smiling collegue, Rute Rodrigues, seems uplifted from the famous Manet painting "A Bar at the Folies-Bergère".
Highly recommended.

Decent food and good prices for enormous portions but not worth the hype. The pork was too salty and the fries were soggy. We waited for one hour and a half to get our food and the restaurant was not even close to full. Unacceptable.

Following several excellent reviews, and after a day playing at Orcy, nearby, I decided to give this restaurant a try.
I think rating this Excellent is very optimistic.
This is one of these places that lived on its location next to the bus station at Santiago do Cacem. We all now these have had its glory days so they turned the place around and became a decent restaurant.
The food is well cooked, the place is clean and overall ambiance. Staff is.. just staff. Having eaten a proper meal, I can hardly say there is really something to remember.
It is one of this places you go, you have your meal and that's it. You can always come back and you will now that you will eat proper food. But it won't make you go that extra mile to get "that" meal.

NOVA GERÊNCIA DESDE 17 DE AGOSTO DE 2017 Restaurante de gastronomia portuguesa, com boa variedade de pratos vegetarianos e cocktail bar. Espaço agradável e familiar, com duas esplanadas e jardim.
I was surprise by the restaurant. Booking advisable. Friendly staff helping you select the best dishes. We chose Chicken Curry and Steak 3 peppers. Steack meadium rare as I have requested and very tasty, Curry with the exact amount of spice. Accompanied with a " Sangria " with Sparkling wine and Red fruits. VERY IMPORTANT - No Television. You could hear music in the background.

Do not expect very much of this place, it's not really a restaurant, just a local pizzeria. The pizza's she made were nevertheless very good & fresh! So don't expect a fancy place, but just very nice and fresh pizza's.

We went at dinner time and because of that, and maybe because there was a futebol game on the tv it was very full and many of the specialities were out of stock.
We had little choice at 20:00.
However all the dishes we had were great. The food was very tasty and the beer cold.
We had:
Madagascar shrimps
Pica-pau
Octopus salad
Cod fish salad
Linguiça

We passed this roadside eatery one Sunday lunchtime while looking for a place to eat, seeing it was packed to the rafters we figured it was a good bet so pulled in and got a table. The waiter spoke good English as our Portuguese is sadly lacking. The place was filled with locals. When quizzed why it was so full a local told me that it was because it was cheap also the food was good but value for money was the prime motivator here, he said most dishes were so large two people could easily share a dish.
We went for the house speciality milk fed suckling pig grilled over coals, no-one needed to fight over the crackling as it all came with plenty, delicious and with an interesting and unusual jus.
A side salad and home made potato crisps as sides and we had plenty left for a doggy bag, in fact most table seemed to leave with doggy bags in tow. Coffee was excellent and at 60 cents perfect value. Our suckling pig came in at a modest 12 euros per person.
A great atmosphere on Sunday lunch with a big crowd. Well worth it.

Hearty meals at affordable prices. Don't expect to much from the service. They serve simple good food so if your looking for a posh plating and fine service try somewhere else. We had the grilled rabbit and it was really tasty. Portions are above average. The service was a tad slow but understandable as the place was packed. Lot of people around us order the seafood rice, the portions were humongous and they seemed to be enjoying it. The only advise I would give is that you keep an eye out for the place as it's not very visible from the road(it's right next to a gas station)
