I remember watching Rick Stein on the rocks in Galicia with the fishing guys on ropes dangerously harvesting barnacles from the sea rocks and cliffs, I thought I need to try these, well the charming little old lady Lilita had some fresh and wow what a taste sensation, something like a cross between winkles and razor clams. Then she served us Portuguese cuisina with veal, just basically Portuguese Sunday lunch with the most tasty organic veg ever! This place is literally run by her and her husband and the food is nothing short of sensational mostly served at the table in pans yes pans.

From the outside, the restaurant looks like it may be closed or not frequented regularly! We phoned to reserve a table for my wifes birthday and we were really looked after. The steak on the hot stone was an experience but next time we go we'll order it without the stone. The starters and Deserts were really tasty and the wine excellent. Thank you for a memorable evening

We could only get a 9 pm booking for the restaurant but showed up early hoping we might get in the. The manager was most gracious and indicated that he would his best and that we should return in 15 minutes which we did . He gave us a prime table . Service was excellent and the food superb. All in all a wonderful evening at a first class restaurant. Try the Seabass with asparagus and mustard sauce, a dynamite dish

Food was really not good but we were still sat looking at a beautiful beach so it was still pleasant

If driving, park at the open air carpark opposite the restaurant. Previous TA reviews warned of the "no reservations" policy, so we turned up just before noon on a Saturday. A steady stream of hungry diners followed, about half of whom appeared to be local or from the area. Our welcome was warm and friendly. Service was efficient and attentive; the staff knowledgeable and willing to recommend dishes. Ambiance was cosy; the tables well spaced.
We ignored the menu but picked seafood from a chiller strategically placed by the entrance to the restaurant. We were told how each dish would be prepared. The fresh oysters were terrific! The clams, mussels, limpets and razor clams cooked to perfection. On offer was fried Moray Eel, sun dried for 4 days... Alas we were too full to have done any justice to it. Desserts were fantastic too. A complimentary liqueur concluded our sensational experience. We did not feel rushed and had a great time!!

Just lovely! We were hosted by a charming and knowledgeable waiter who was happy to advise and suggest items. Our main course was the prawn, chorizo and pork cataplana and it was beautifully spiced. We had fig nougat for dessert which was surprisingly good. The red wine recommended by the waiter was well chosen. The best meal in Portugal so far!

Kleines Strandrestaurant mit Teressa und Blick auf den Atlantik.
We only had coffees and tea here but the cakes and seafood looked excellent and the staff were very friendly. Brilliant setting overlooking the beach and has some shelter from the prevailing N winds.

We have visited this restaurant many times and every time we leave fully satisfied. The food is excellent especially the slow cooked lamb but you need to order a day in advance. It is a family run restaurant and has a real homely feel...Portugal at its best. We went there with our small Children and the staff were so kind and friendly. A must!

Restaurant with typical Portuguese food located in a rural village that was rebuilt keeping the original traces of the portuguese villages. Come try our codfish on the bread or other tasty dishes from our menu in a cozy and familiar environment of the village Aldeia da Pedralva.
Tried this place on three occasions and was definitely a family favourite. Great outside courtyard-like dining area, really friendly service and wonderful food. Evidently sampled by locals so it's not just for mugs like me. Loved it!

Big Terrace, with shade and beautiful views. Serving food from 12:00pm until 21:00pm. Advice: always good to book your table, gets busy on lunch and dinner time. Try a orly dinner to see the sunset (the mountain in the end of the beach reflects the beautiful colors so the sun). Very relaxing spot, with soft chilling music. Recommendation: lamb Kebab, grilled fish of the day, Fish & shellfish Cataplanas, Zavial prawns in special garlic sauce. To drink, try the red and white sangria (freshly made). As a desert, Lemon pie in a cup, apple pie and chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Cappuccino Zavial and Algarve Coffee (with Medronho). Credit card accepted (but, it's better to take money, some times, because of the old telephone lines it doesn't work). The place is far from everything, surrounded by nature, beautiful views, clean and white sand, cold and light blue sea, relaxing atmosphere. If you wish to relax and recharge, this is the place.
We visited this place looking for the beach (which is amazing). It lunch, we decided to try this restaurant and were very satisfied. The food is tasty and delicious, the staff is very friendly and is hard to beat the view. Definitely a good day plan
