Can't believe that this restaurant with some pictures of famous spanish people of "old times" are capable of deceiving like that theirpossible future clients... The most impressive deception in Vielha!! We ordered "bacalao confitado" which means "cod fish cooked in olive oil at low temperature", it is supposed to be sweet and soft, and they gave us something incredible and impossible to eat, so dry and without any taste, I suppose that it was a bad bolied cod fish.
We were not the only ones to protest.
Another table also sent back the same cod fish plates.
And aboce all this they dared to charge us!!
Incredible..
And it was my birthday celebration!!!
The worst celebration I had.

Too much snow falling stopped us from skiing in Baqueira so made a trip to find this place and were not disappointed. What looks like a small wine/food shop is also a great tapas bar. Tables at the back look out over the river. Excellent food, and selection of wines. Very friendly and helpful waitress, who helped ith menu translation. They also have a large selection of 'special' gin brands with an equally special range of tonic waters. Tell them what kind of Gin you'd like, fruity, citrus, dry, sweet, this list goes on and they will make your G&T at your table, it wil be the best G&T you will ever have had. Well worth a visit, we'd definitely go back.

We stopped here for dinner during a 4X4 trip to the Spanish and French Pyrenees.
There were about 20 of us and we booked in advance (Luckily!!).
We shared starters - Grilled shrimps, Mushroom risotto and Tempura vegetables. They were all freshly prepared and excellent.
I took the duck for main course which was delicious and also tasted (Isn't that what large group tours are for??) the veal and lamb dishes which were just as tasty.
For dessert we had a mango sorbet with white chocolate sauce. Yummy!!
All this went down with great local wine and (of course!!) some Pacharan!!
Everything was superb and the service was friendly and had no trouble coping with our large group efficiently and professionally.
Excellent Restaurant!! Highly Recommended!!

When looking at the options in Vielha I'm afraid most seem very overpriced. Probably because in winter it's a ski-resort and that automatically raises prices (but often not the quality). Luckily there is still Can Pere which serves good value food in large portions. We...MoreGood Morning. First, we want to thank you for your comments. It is a pride that citizens of other countries come and enjoy our food. We look forward to seeing you again in our restaurant with your family. Thank you very much!!

We went me and my daughter, for a dinner after sky. The food was very good fresh and well presented. Steak was excellent. And wine that came with the menu deal was very good as well.
The only thing that made all of it short of being excellent is the fact that our table was badly located in the middle of the room, like it was imposed there.
Very good overall.

We regularly eat out on holiday, particularly in Spain as it is usually excellent quality and good value for money. This was the worst meal we had this year. The place was of pleasant appearance, local and friendly (and recommended on Trip Advisor!) but this could not make up for the quality of the food. Over-seasoned (far too much salt), over-cooked, fatty and indigestible and not as described on the menu (admittedly an English translation). And not cheap either at 37 Euros for two.

Great fondues, raclettes and meatballs. It is located in a secret corner of Vielha. A must-visit because everything is about the atmosphere there.
Great wine selection. I suggest you to have a strawberry g&t after some meatballs.
It is not a family restaurant but you can go there with kids because the location is a traffic free zone and the place is stuffed with so many books, toys and random things that kids really enjoy it.

Stop your car, stop what you re doing, and take the time to enjoy the delicious food this place has to offer. It is simply unbelievable and we are not exaggerating. You will not be disappointed by your food selection, regardless on what you pick it will be done right.

Great atmosphere , very friendly staff excellent tapas and very reasonable priced drinks. We went in for a pre dinner drink and tapas , several hours later, dinner cancelled due to excellent varied tapas. Once the bill was calculated by counting used tapas sticks and a running bar bill we were all offered free shots of a local liqueur . Needless to say we went back a second night but were more restrained!
