We went here as a group. We enjoyed the appetizers like the calamari and potato skins. The plain wings are literally plain, no salt and pepper. I ordered the pineapple glazed steak with stuff potato. The steak is really soft and tender which made it easier to eat. The stuffed potato that came with it wasn’t that appealing to me and satisfying maybe because I loved the keg and Moxies version more. The rest of the foods ordered by my friends were great like the ribs. It was crowded that night. It was Saturday night so service was a bit slow but we understood that.

We visited this restaurant for our evening dinner and then again for breakfast the next morning. For dinner, I had the fish burger which was brought to me as just a piece of fish. The fish was not the best. The coleslaw was not my favourite but I'm sure some like it. None of my family did and it seems to come with all the meals. Our kids had the chicken fingers which were a bit burnt and some were in hard fried bits. It looked terrible and after my boy ate it, he had a tummy ache that night. Not saying that it was because of the chicken fingers, but we have had a lot of chicken fingers in our day and this was the worst yet. I hate to say it, but I'm just being honest. My hubby had a burger and said it was good. So, 1 out of 3 is not great odds but hunger is hunger. I still ate most of my meal anyway nor did I complain, well except that my fish burger was missing the bun. The server did say she could bring me a bun, but she was missing the point. I let it go. No biggie. PS: If you like caesars, they do not make very good ones. Too much worchestshire sauce maybe? Not sure. But I do like me a good caesar. The breakfast was good. A bit greasy for the eggs, but still good. No complaints anyway. Overall I'd eat here again, but I wouldn't order the fish or anything deep fried. I do have to say though... it had great ambiance. An wood cabin feeling and had lots of animals on display. Tons of animals actually. We all liked that.

This has to be the very worst food we have EVER been served.
The chicken chow mien was dry, tasteless and the meat was packaged processed chicken. Sweet and sour ribs had the taste of spoiled meat. Rice was soooo sticky we could not dish up.
Left hungry and paying a large bill

Pizza and pasta (though when I visited, they were out of pasta). Prompt, attentive service. Good pizza. OK washrooms. This restaurant is in a corner building which has been through many manifestations. One of the few places I'd recommend in Vanderhoof.

We stopped in for pie and coffee and loved the atmosphere and decor of this museum-like cafe. The service was attentive and quick, the pies were delicious and it was hard to choose for the extensive list of choices! Your order is served on ceramic dishes with metal cutlery - no plastic waste is produced by your table meal. The historical society volunteers have done an excellent job of setting up this historical Canadian Cafe. We are looking forward to our next visit and will plan to have lunch. The parking lot was spacious enough for our RV to pull through. We enjoyed the other sights on site.

Popped in here for a quick coffee and loved the style and decoration of the place.
We had the ultimate grill cheese Sandwich and tuna melt with a small Greek salad.
The grill cheese Sandwich was fabulous! There was a good selection of coffees to choose from.
With free wifi, this place ticked all the boxes.

After being on the road for a LONG time....we like to have dinner and a beer - NO beer here! The food was OK but not great. We would look for something else next time. It was convenient to our motel, so we stopped in

Well, what a find. Twenty some minutes from Vanderhoof on the way to Prince George. A hidden treasure. Beautiful spot, great design and decor (check out the washstands!) and superb food. Well worth the small detour. Best Caesar salad I've had in a very long time, faultless presentation and his fish and chips were perfectly cooked. Only thing that could have improved my experience is I would have liked more choice for wines by the glass, other than just a house blend from a box. The bottle selection looked very good and I will definitely be taking the girlfriends there for a long lunch in the near future.

The menu wasn't extensive. Mainly had the usual suspects of Chinese food selections--chow meins and fried rices of various types, for example. The food was good, filling, though not imaginative. But the service! Exceptionally bad. The server took our order, then nothing happened for a long time. Finally, the main courses arrived before the appetizers, then the drinks (water and a bottled soda) arrived after all the food. When we were done, waited a rather extended time for the check and finally had to go stand at the counter to get the check, pay, and go. And we were the only ones there, not like the place was packed. The place didn't look too clean, either. The carpet had a wide trail of dark/worn parts to the door, and the soy sauce container was pretty grubby. Despite that, liked the food.

We ordered veg samosa and chicken samosa, lamb biryani, buttered chicken, nan with spinach dip and eggplant something ( I forgot the name). All the foods were tasty, delicious and has moderate hotness or mild spicy. Samosas were crunchy. They have veggies inside and comes with a red sauce that compliments the samosas. Lamb biryani has yellow rice that looks like fried rice because it has carrots and peas. Buttered chicken is orange in color and tasted good. Nan is like a tasteless dough but served hot. You need the spinach dip for the nan. The spinach dip is creamy with cheese cube. The restaurant is big and can hold Reservations for big occasions. Washroom is outside the restaurant but just in the lobby of the Vanderhoof inn. This restaurant is located within the Vanderhoof Inn. The restaurant is clean and has huge tv playing hockey games.
