Yesterday we went to le musigny, we dined a la carte also because the menus are not much cheaper then the menus.
The mise en bouche was a simple set of three tappenades with ordinary bread. The tappenades had nothing special, a good amateur cook has mote special ideas and more punchy tappenades.
The only one mise en bouche came: a soup,of melon with serrano. The soup was just sweet, had no punch and the serano was just as simple.
My starter a little tart of crab and avocado had nothing else specific apart from some ordinary apple chips and a simple fresh salad, the avocade domiated so much that I did not taste any crab... Need I go on... The vegetables with the lamb had a dominant taste in common: water!
This simplicity and lack of creativity lasted even with the two little sweets that accompagnied the nespresso. Bravo for the sommelier, the only light in the darkness.

I ate at La Table de Christophe during a job trip in Valenciennes and I have to say this place is fantastic!!!
Great food (cheese selection, fois gras, terrine, angus steak with rosemary butter, chocolate mousse), great and warm atmosphere.
All is worth the price!!
If I ever come back to Valenciennes, this place will be my first choice for a dinner!!

My wife and I spent two nights in Valenciennes May 7th and 8th. We had pre-dinner drinks here on the first evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the homemade pizza snacks were delicious. The ambiance was just perfect. So good we went back the next evening. They were closed! There was another bar open next door. We tried there, big mistake. Twice the price and poor reception. Salvation! O Divine opened up. We had no compunction but to leave and revisit. O Divine did not dissapoint, the same warm welcome and superb service. One not to miss if you are ever that way.

Let's be fair, this is really good value for 13€ or so, you get à drink, a main course and a.dessert. Good value. Food-wise, the tarts are nothing to write home about, decent at best. The salad that came with it was useless and the seasoning irrelevant.
The dessert, a pear and chocolate crumble, was à massive disappointment, too hot, too sweet, way too much black stuff that barely tasted like chocolate, so much so that you couldnt possibly imagine there were pears in there. Other desserts at our table, such as the chocolate mousse were clearly not homemade. Service was very slow and somewhat unprofessional.
So yes for 13€, its good value, sure, but for a placé called Côté Tartes, its just not good enough...
Ps, menu doesnt include alcoholic beverages.

I used to live in Asia and am always looking for a good Japanese restaurant as it is my favourite. Quite literally the best Japanese I've had, and I mean worldwide. An unexpected surprise! !

We loved the food! Specially the PAVÉ, it's meat cooked on a stone, great!
But we had to wait for half an hour for service and no one spoke English. (there was no menu in English either).
If you have time visit this Resto, the food is just AMAZING!

Stopped in Valenciennes on drive back to UK. This restaurant was rated 1 in the area on tripadvisor so gave it a go. It is a little out of town and really is little more than a take away with half a dozen tables or so. It doesn't really look like a #1 restaurant, more like a place the owners friends have rated well, but the food (we had pizza and pasta) was generously sized and very tasty. Service was very good, drinks were very good and the owner was happy for our young son to watch him make the pizzas and place them into what looks like a good wood fired pizza oven (not that i am an expert on what makes a good oven other than what comes out of it).
Very unassuming but very good.

Found this place by accident. We loved it! The staff is welcoming and helpful. The food very good and the decor is really cosy and authentic.
The fire was lit and that was it.
The portions are large so if you are a small eater, beware. I ordered "Entrecôte" (steak) and only ate half of it because it was huge.

I often come to Easy Coffee - sometimes solo, sometimes with friends - and from the very first time i knew that this place will become one of my favorite place in the city. The people here are very friendly, the music is so cool and the most important thing of all is the great coffee they make !!! ^_^

A simple and small restaurant where you can eat fresh-cooked noodle. Every time I go there (mostly late in the evening around 21:30-22:00 which is really late for a restaurant in the city) the owner kindly prepare me a special "vegan dish" which is not officially on his menu card. His knowledge of chinese culture and cooking is always a nice to share while we eat with friends. The place is small so don't expect to sit there for long, it's mainly designed to have a quick meal or to take away. By the way if you don't like chatting while you eat, you better avoid the restaurant.
