The restaurant is located in the village centre and was formerly a "trattoria" where the merchants of the village met to complete contracts. Because of this reason it was called "Borsa", which means "stock market". The name has been retained even years later, when the old tavern was taken over by Alceste Pasquali and his wife Albina Stanghellini who lead the restaurant since 1959. Enjoy local cuisine, personally prepared by Mrs. Albina, in a modern ambience with traditional flair. In cooperation with a first class team of cooks and waiters, the owners Alceste and Albina and their daughter Nadia ensure a high-quality, attentive service, combined with an excellent quality of the served specialties. The restaurant (with air conditioning in the interior), offers a garden for the warm season, overlooking the old ,,castle scaligero".
Our friends recommended this restaurant and it was our first time. The tortellini were amazing, so thin and tasty and not at all heavy. My seabass was very good too but it's obligatory to try the different kinds of scrumptious tortellini if you come here. The prices aren't low but this restaurant is quite famous in the area and the service is precise and extremely efficient.

I've been here several times and always have a Limousine T-Bone Steak. I guess the name Limousine is because of the kind of meat offered. Anyway; alway perfectly cooked and tender.
The venue is good for small group and families and it is also a romantic spot preferrably during the week rather than during the weekend. Side orders are great and also the wine list is good

I really love and cherish this restaurant where I use to go with my parents when we really want to splurge. Quality is over the top with a large selection of traditional dishes, the bill could be expensive but food is really great and everything is home made.

We don't remember the number of times (pleasure or business) we stopped in the beautiful village of Borghetto sul Mincio and another reason is the romantic Ristorante La Cantina, which you find at the Hotel Faccioli in the very heart of Borghetto s.M. We have never been disappointed with the fine local food served by the owner Silvia ( restaurant & hotel are witness of the enviable Italian family business) and her staff. The prices are very honest and this cosy restaurant with the amazing wine collection will add your compliments to those of the many Italien guests that favoured it. Being in the area we would highly recommend a visit to another gem of the delightful countryside - SOLVERINO. another witness of Italian history , Piazza Castello - the Rocca with the impressive memorial of Henry Dunant who founded, after the battle of Solverino in 1859 the Internation Red Cross. By the way, from the BORGHETTO you may walk or cycle, all along the quiet Mincio River leading to lake Garda - you will enjoy it after the fine meal of the Ristorante LA CANTINA. Anna & Jean

This restaurant is situated in a beautiful small village. At the river and next to the historical bridge we had dinner under this very old tree. What a setting! The food is good but service is average and prices are a bit too high given the quality of the food. Also a bit over the top to charge 3 euro for our one year old baby boy sitting at the table and not drinking / eating anything.

What a restaurant! When you enter you could be in whatever big metropolitan city, and who knew you could get this in a small Italian town. We loved the modern Scandinavian design, the extremely friendly and service minded staff and of course the food. Remember...MoreDear Guest, thank you for sharing your experience with us and with the Tripadvisor community. We are happy you enjoyed so much our restaurant, so we hope to have you as a guest again in future. Regards!

A great spot for simple, homemade local dishes. Bigoli all'Anitra was superb and the carne salá was the best I've tried. Simple selection of seasonal dishes, choice of three colours of wine by the litre and some simple, homemade desserts. Service efficient if not too friendly on the Saturday night we visited. Prices very reasonable considering the quality. Will certainly return.

It was our first time there and were really satisfied.
They have a big Terrace and plenty parking spaces. It was fabulous with excellent food, wine and service. We ordered Antipasti, Tagliata di Manzo, Tortellini, mussles, houswine white and red and were really happy. Everything was fresh and tasty. Try the Antipasti and Tagliata di Manzo is delisious and specialty of the house. Housewine the best we ever had on the Lake Garda. The price was reasonable and absolute worth to see.
The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful.
We are ready to go back!

Borghetto is a georgeous and romantic place, and Lo Stappo Wine & Food is a perfect option for romantic and tasty dinner. Excellent service. I recommend the Red Tuna with Black sesame seeds and for dessert the traditional almonds cookie.

It was our first time at Il Cavallino and were positive surprised. Cosy traditional restaurant with lots of locals. Excellent pasta and meat and a great house wine above all very friendly and helpful staff. The best you can get all for a reasonable value. For sure we come back and would recommend.
