We have gone to this restaurant a couple of times and each experience has been better than the last. We took our friends here for their birthday. The setting is quiet and beautiful. You take a boat on the lake to the restaurant and the ride is pleasant and scenic. You will need to make Reservations as this is a very popular place and only open on weekends. It is very good for families with children as they can provide space for them to play while waiting for your meal.

Happily, they have a great restaurant right there! Wonderful salmon and salad dinner and appetizers of tostones and calabazza soup. Great chocolate cake for dessert. Thanks Josh for the great service! Breakfast omelet was quite tasty and a great start to our day. Again, Josh is great.

Went here on recommendation of Fernando from Tanama River Adventure. I have had mofungo before at other restaurants & did not see what the fuss was about. Tried the mofungo stuffed with shrimp on the waiter's recommendation. Wow! That is good stuff. Shrimp were tasty as well. Wish that my home in Louisiana had this restaurant. My DS had gum on. It was a good taco soup but not a gumbo like at home. DW & other DS had chicken & garlic. It was fresh & tasty. Excellent recommendation by Fernando. Eat here if you can!

The mini Alcapurrias were on point!, we ordered those as starters. The pina coladas and sangrias were good too. We ordered the weekend special "mofongo de yucca con churrasco y camarones" well let me start off by saying I was very skeptical about the yuca mofongo because unlike platano it tastes sweet. I expected a churrasco (long meat, steak like) but they only added a few thin strips of churrasco and 5 shrimps on a stick. The meal was not what I expected, it was okay to be completely honest. We couldn't switch to the platano mofongo because it wasn't included on the special. So we paid $25 for something that we were kinda stuck with/ didn't prefer to get. I would go there again and eat other things on the menu, but not the special.

Recently, my boyfriend and our mutual friend escaped the heat of the Beaches in Puerto Rico to the Mountains of Puerto Rico. Utuado is breathtaking and the town is very charming. We were recommended to have dinner at the Aquarium and were not disappointed . One of the owners, Eddie, is helping carry on his fathers legacy in this 40 year old establishment. If you are not from the island, his menu consist of local fare. The Mofongo, asopao, and steak were delicious. The house made Sangria hit the spot and the dessert of flan was very tasty. Don't miss the stepping back in history or being served by the very friendly staff.

El Asado de Papa is family owned and operated and the service is better than most restaurants! It sits on Lake Caonillas and is the best outdoor restaurant for miles! All the locals eat here. You can't beat the food - all home made, all good, all the time! I eat here several times a week and have never been disappointed. The chicken and meats and verdura (root vegetables) are authentic Puerto Rican, the rice and beans the best! The atmosphere is relaxed, the service excellent. This is comida criolla at its very best. On Sundays "lechon" - roast pig - is served. All the foods are prepared over home made charcoal, fresh. If you are looking to enjoy Puerto Rican food at its best in a casual and friendly atmosphere, with lake and Mountains as a background, this is the place.
The prices are very modest.
Great pina coladas!

Amplio salon comedor con vista panoramica al lago al aire libre, ambiente familiar,un variado menu a la carta y barra, contamos con un servicio abierto al publico amplio estacionamiento y salon de actividades.
We were surprised & delighted by this special place on the lake. The service was warm & friendly. Ambiance is relaxed & welcoming. Tonight we ordered the Mahi Mahi and steak dinner. Both dishes were fresh & delicious. The Mahi Mahi was perfectly prepared ---steamed & lightly spiced with herbs and peppers--- and the thinly cut steak was beautifully cooked. Highly recommend!
We are looking forward to another visit! Thank you.

Went on a road trip to cueva ventana cave and then decided to drive to this restuarant. Driving there it was ok but to many curves. My kids got dizzy. When I arrived to the place it did not look like a rest but after walking in and having the waiter set a table it was very comfortable. The food was super good. We loved it. Pinacolada was super. The waiter was very attentive. I recommend a little remoleding.

It was so refreshing to find a hip restaurant like this in central Puerto Rico. You have the option of parking at the bottom of the hill and getting a lift up or hoofing it yourself and burning some calories. Super friendly staff and tasty food. I had the waffle Sandwich. I won't forget this place.

Went on a getaway for Memorial Weekend and stayed in Utuado. Had a late lunch at Bier Garden and it was unexpectedly delicious. I had the burger with fries, which was amazing, and my friend had the fish tacos. We also tried the fried cheese as an app and it was just perfect with that sweet guava sauce. For dessert, coconut flan...and wow! Everything was so good. Portions were perfect and affordable prices. The service was flawless, from the moment we walked in. Everyone greeted us and made sure we had everything. The place is very cozy and modern, loved the decoration. Unfortunately, it was raining so we couldn't sit outside in the garden but it did look beautiful...hopefully next time!
