Situated with the river gently flowing on either side of the dining area, Halil in Yeri makes a strong first impression. The menu is standard, though, with the usual cold and hot meze and an emphasis on fish. Curiously, we noticed a huge difference in price between sea bass and sea bream: 110TL vs. 25. The two meze we started with - broad bean dip and yoghurt with chillis and peas - weren't as good as we've had elsewhere. Our sea bream arrived as we were finishing our meze. There was no apology for this, just whisking away our plates with a shrug. The fish was actually excellent, but it was served just with a slice of lemon, a few sprigs of rocket and a quarter of raw onion. We weren't asked whether we wanted salad or chips. Overall, it was a pleasant enough meal in pleasant surroundings but the experience was diminished by utterly impersonal service that made us feel we weren't really wanted.

Delightful restaurant right on the beach front with stunning views of the gulf of Gokova. The restaurant has been refurbished early 2013 and now benefits from new kitchen and toilets and a new bar. There is Seating outside under a covered pergola for 80 guests where you can enjoy the cooling sea breeze and the views of the bay. Romantically lit in the evenings the restaurant is transformed into a smart dining area where you can enjoy the wonderful sunsets.
We visited MeV twice during our stay in akyaka , the choice of food was excellent , waiters were great , food was good , however on both occasions ,even though the restaurant was not full, the food took a very long time to arrive on the second day the whole meal took at least an hour to arrive. They did make it up by offering us a nice dessert.there was some inconsistency in one of the dishes we chose. It tasted totally different the next day. I would recommend this restaurant for sure but if you're really hungry I suggest you go somewhere else.

Although Kordon Restaurant is situated centrally, it's next to a fast-flowing river that's teeming with geese. Unfortunately, they've cottoned on to the free meal scenario, so if people chuck scraps into the water (as they do), the geese will come flapping and squawking. Along with their goslings, too, if you're lucky. There's a huge range of meze on display along with the usual fish and meat options. The sea bass and sea bream we had were perfectly cooked and also extremely good value. We allowed the waiter to choose a bottle of dry white wine - dangerous, I know - but unusually, there was no attempt to fleece us with the most expensive wine in the house. The final bill for three meze dishes, the fish and the wine was 110 TL, which we thought was excellent value.

We have had dinner with my family and friends by suggestion from our otel at Orfoz. The location is perdect at the river side. The owner doesn't know how to handle the waiters and service. I have reliazed that it is very busy every night so the waiters and the owner don't care about service. They have to be much more professional. Also prices are really high. The food is good but it is really bad to feel that you are not a customer you are money maker.

We went to this restaurant as part of a small group, and wow, were we please the organiser brought us here! We had a selection of 6 different mezes, and the main courses changed during lunchtime - we had chicken stew, moussaka, village doner, navy beans and meatballs on our table - all excellent. As lunchtime continues, local women bring in different dishes that they have cooked in their kitchen - brillian idea and tasty dishes.
The best was a desert we had made for us - a speciality from the area of Turkey near the Syrian border - I don't know its name, but it was a sweet baklava type of dish, mixed with soft cheese - delicious!

Big Blue Hotel and Restaurant are located right on the beach front so you can enjoy the magnificent views of Gokova Bay from our Hotel Rooms or excellent beachside A La Carte Restaurant. The restaurant has a varied and rich menu catering to Turkish and International tastes. We serve Fresh Fish and Mediterranean Meze everyday and also have a selection of special meals prepared by our talented kitchen team. We provide beach service from the restaurant so you can relax lay back and enjoy the views from your sunlounger on the beach.
We thought Big Blue would be nice place to sit in the evening as it is situated on the seafront, Akyaka was very quiet in early October and there were only a couple of other diners. Due to it's location I expected it to be more expensive than other restaurants that we had visited and although pleasant, the Seabass Meuniere wasn't really value for money, luckily I don't eat big portions. I was not impressed with the young waiter who hardly said a word, he may not have spoken English but he could have looked a bit more enthusiastic. Not impressed, you certainly don't clear plates away until both diners have finished their meal and we were not offered dessert or coffee so had no wish to linger. A limited menu and a bit of a disappoinment.

Enjoyed our relaxed evening. We drank excellent draught beer in ace of spades whilst ordering a superb pizza from Sottovento next door. Both were far superior to what we would ever have thought. Great relationship between the two bars. WELL DONE.

A very traditional, family run restaurant definitely catering for Turkish rather than other tourists. There is no English menu and the dishes are all regional. If you're brave-go! The food we had was great. Slow cooked beef you could eat with a spoon, fresh, crisp green salad, tzatziki, rice and very fresh bread-all for under £6. The family were really friendly and whilst we had no idea what we'd ordered until it arrived, that made it more interesting. The mediocre rating reflects that it was simple, delicious food rather than flash high end but don't let that put you off. Try it!

At first I thought this to be a large 'diner' place, but actually it is surprisingly good. The standard is very high, and with a few branches, they obviously have got it right. Favoured by travelling business folk and local professionals, as well as families, this all-round restaurant offers genuine Turkish fare, freshly prepared and served by numerous waiting staff. Prices are genuinely good too. This is NOT a tourist place, but if you want to eat as the locals do (and in some comfort), it's worth a try.
